Research On The Development Policy Of Library Collections In My Country

The collection development policy can continuously promote the sustainable development of the library and ensure the quality of its information resource construction,so it has high research value.In 2007,the Library and Information Work Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education issued documents such as the "Guidelines for the Preparation of Document Development Policies for University Libraries" to guide academic libraries to formulate collection development policies.The Ministry of Education is in the process of evaluating public announcement libraries at or above the county level.The collection development policy is used as one of the evaluation indicators,but there are not many collection development policy texts in the mainland that are publicly available.This article has obtained 25 collection development policies from Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and the mainland from various channels.Through the study of the text content and the current collection development policy related documents,the development process of my country's collection development policy has been sorted out and found The collection development policy has some problems and deficiencies in the development of our country,and then further explored the reasons for these problems,so as to make some suggestions for the development of collection development policies for other libraries in our country and the development of collection development policies in our country.
