Antennas are the forward eyes and ears in the information age,and have extremely important value in information perception systems such as communication,navigation,and detection.With the development of electronic equipment in the direction of high frequency band,high gain,large bandwidth,high density,and miniaturization,increasingly high requirements are placed on the integration and bandwidth of antennas.However,the traditional design method is difficult to reconcile the contradiction between size and bandwidth.In addition,as the working frequency band increases,the influence of structural parameters on the antenna performance is becoming more and more obvious.How to realize the robust design of a large-bandwidth antenna becomes an urgent problem to be solved.This paper proposes a robust antenna design method of interval-stochastic mixed model.The antenna design with stable bandwidth performance is achieved by optimizing structural design variables.The effectiveness of this method is verified by a case of substrate integrated waveguide antenna engineering.It includes the following:Firstly,the substrate integrated waveguide model and the equivalent dielectric filled waveguide model were established,and the basic structure,loss characteristics and resonance characteristics of the substrate integrated waveguide were studied,on this basis,the design method of the substrate integrated waveguide wideband antenna is analyzed from the perspective of radiation mode,mode boundary conditions and multi-mode excitation.Secondly,for the problem of the influence of structural parameter deviation on antenna performance,a robust antenna design method based on interval-stochastic mixed model is proposed,and the mixed model converts the two uncertain quantities into random variables that follow different distributions.In this method,the antenna's size parameters are used as design variables,and the minimum mean and minimum variance of the antenna element in the bandwidth are used as the objective function.A robust optimization model of the antenna is established and solved.Finally,based on the robust design method,two substrate integrated waveguide wideband low-profile antennas are designed.In order to verify the robustness of antenna performance,in the presence of parameter deviations,the antenna bandwidth and stability before and after robust optimization were compared,and the above two antennas were tested experimentally.The results show that:in the presence of processing errors and environmental disturbance factors,the antenna test is consistent with the simulation results,which verifies the effectiveness of the robust design method of this interval-random mixed model.Compared with existing wideband low-profile antennas in the same frequency band,the bandwidth is increased by 7.69%and the profile height is reduced by 20%.
