The application of RPA(Robot Process Automation)technology is one of the major trends in the digital information age.Robots can consistently run according to the predefined procedures,so it can replace human to do jobs which are of high repeatability and have simple process. This brings benefits like cost savings, and also can improve efficiency. But at the same time, that may inevitably change enterprise traditional management environment, and launched a new challenge to the traditional accounting theory. How to make good use of this double-edged sword has become a common problem faced by current enterprises.Since it was put forward in the 1950 s,delicacy management theory has been a hot topic in the study of contemporary management science, and it is also the direction of enterprise management transformation which is supported by the Chinese government. In recent years, the Chinese government has continuously issued documents to encourage the transition to delicacy management in many aspects, like financial management, urban governance and private enterprise management. And constantly improving the level of delicacy management is also required.Under the RPA environment, automated robots replace human beings as agents, which not only makes the delicacy management of enterprises more standardized, refined and personalized, but also eliminates the existence of moral dilemma and adverse selection. Therefore, the traditional agency theory can no longer meet the needs of contemporary enterprise management analysis. The paradox of embedded agency provides us with a new perspective, which refers to the fact that agents are constrained by social structure, but it may in turn have an adverse effect on the social structure in which they live."Opinions of the general office of the state council on promoting the coordinated development of e-commerce and express logistics" clearly required China's express logistics enterprises to improve the level of equipment automation.SF-Express,as the leading enterprise in China's express logistics industry, has always been committed to making full use of the RPA environment for delicacy management. This paper takes SF-Express as the case study object, and, analyzes the status and effect of delicacy management under the RPA environment based on the paradox of embedded agency,so as to provide reference for other express logistics enterprises in China, promote the development of automation in that industry and solve the problem of how to achieve the delicacy management transformation of enterprises under the RPA environment.Based on the literature on the theory of embedded agency the paradox of embedded agency and delicacy management, this paper studies the delicacy management of SF-Express by combining theoretical analysis with case study. This paper is divided into five parts.First of all,the research background, research significance, research ideas and research methods are introduced.Secondly, the theoretical basis of this paper is introduced, and relevant literatures at home and abroad are reviewed. The theoretical contributions of existing researches to the paradox of embedded agency and delicacy management theory are summarized. And,the innovation points of this paper are proposed. Then, this paper analyzes the changes in the characteristics of enterprise delicacy management under the RPA environment, that is,the management standardization is realized because the performance evaluation system is clearer, the delicacy management is further realized, and the management personalization is also realized because the adaptability to different business scenarios is enhanced. Then, based on the embedded agency theory, this paper analyzes the paradox of embedded agency in the RPA environment, and studies how enterprises should deal with this situation under different circumstances,so as to effectively carry out delicacy management. After research, this paper found that when the enterprise structure is stable or pursues to be stable, the structural changes caused by agents will bring unstable factors to the enterprise management. When the structure of the enterprise is unstable, the flexible change of the structure is conducive to the enterprise management to adapt to the unstable state. The occurrence of the paradox of embedded agency is beneficial to enterprise management. In RPA environment, the robot runs stably and consistently according to the established program, which can suppress the occurrence of the paradox embedded agency. Therefore, when the enterprise structure is stable or pursues to be stable, the RPA environment should be effectively used to keep the structure stable. When the structure of the enterprise is unstable,RPA should be avoided so the enterprise could carry out delicacy management effectively, and people instead of robots should be used to flexibly deal with the instability of the structure. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper studies delicacy management under the RPA environment, using SF-Express as an example.First, this paper introduces the motive, the general situation and the organization structure of the delicacy management of SF-Express.Then,taking the automatic sorting process as an example, this paper analyzes the delicacy management effect of SF-Express.This paper believes that after the use of RPA technology to realize automatic sorting, the company's sorting process has achieved significant improvement in sorting speed, sorting and warehousing accuracy, and cost of the sorting process. This paper further points out the existing problems in SF-Express delicacy management reflected by this process. That is,the sorting process has not been fully automated, and some processes still need manual intervention which brings uncertainties. Finally, this paper gives some improvement countermeasures.Enterprises should further apply RPA technology and strengthen training and supervision of workers.
