In the field of Library and information science,there are two research topics have received much attention: the scientific cooperation of scholars and the evaluation of academic performance of researchers,and research on the internal relationship between scientific research cooperation and academic performance has also accumulated rich achievements.In recent years,with the increasing trend of knowledge interrelation and cross-aggregation,researchers have found that scientific cooperation is an important factor to improve scientific productivity and increase the citation frequency of publications.The role of academic cooperation in promoting scientific research achievements has been gradually recognized and accepted by the academic community,and the exploration and excavation of the potential relationship between scientific research cooperation and academic performance,as well as the pattern and law,has also become an important research topic in the field of library and information science.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to examine and explore the correlation between the cooperation status of scholars and their academic performance from the individual level by using correlation analysis method and multiple regression analysis method.This article constructs an author collaborative network of 15094 researchers in the field of international library and information science from 2009 to 2018,using 8 network structure attribute indicators including degree centrality,betweeness centrality,closeness centrality,eigenvector centrality,ego-network density,efficiency coefficient,constraint coefficient and the average ties strength to represent the cooperation state of scholars.Based on the literature information,relevant data of the authors were extracted,and five academic performance index values of each author were calculated,namely,author's publication count,total citation frequency,average citation frequency,h-index and p-index.The correlation between cooperative network attribute indicators and academic performance was analyzed by means of Spearman rank correlation analysis method,and then the h-index taken as the response variable to investigate the influence of various collaborative network attribute indicators on academic performance by using multiple regression model.According to the analysis results of Spearman rank correlation test,it is found that there is indeed a significant correlation between research cooperation status and academic performance of scholars,but the correlation coefficient values between different network attribute indicators and academic performance are different.Among them,ego-network density,betweeness centrality and average ties strength are all exist strong correlation with academic performance indexes.The results of multiple regression analysis shows that the status of intermediary contacts,lasting and stable scientific research cooperative relations have a positive impact on scholars' academic performance;the periphery position in academic cooperative groups has a negative effect on academic performance.
