| With the economic globalization,the development of information and data,and the popularity of the Internet,once the concept of sharing is introduced to China,its use in the field of accommodation continues to rise.Due to the favorable macro-policy environment,the stable economic development,and the gradually mature social environment,the sharing of real estate among strangers has become a reality.The international short-term rental platform has gradually changed people’s consumption concepts and increased their social relationships from Airbnb,which has operations all over the world,to Tujia,Piggy Short-term Rental,and Ziru Homestay,which have begun overseas expansion.The international short-term rental platform fully integrates offline idle house resources and conducts transactions through the Internet.Demand-side users can find qualified houses for lease according to personal needs.For users,the existence of international short-term leases has greatly reduced search costs and execution costs.For the entire housing market,international short-term rents will socialize the use of idle homes,increasing their utilization.This thesis first sorts out the relevant literature on international short-term rental platforms and business models;secondly,it briefly introduces transaction costs and value network theory;here it introduces the history of international short-term rental platforms and the development environment,so that everyone learn more about international short-term rental platforms;thirdly,based on the business model and value network theory,build a value network model of the international short-term rental platform business model,and from the perspective of value realization,extract four study factors: value proposition,value creation,value transmission,and value acquisition,and select three companies,Airbnb,Tujia,and Ziru Homestay for case analysis.Finally,through the comparative analysis of the three cases,the Chinese short-term rental platform was proposed from the four aspects of value proposition,value creation,value transmission,and value acquisition.We should clearly define the platform positioning,innovate products and services,establish important cooperation with third-party companies,integrate channel resources,and innovate profit models to improve business models,localize operations,and establish good government-enterprise cooperation to expand overseas.The research conclusion of this thesis is that the international short-term rental platform improves its own value network and enhances the competitive advantage of enterprises by continuously innovating business models.For China’s short-term rental platform,in its development process,it should selectively learn from the international short-term rental platform’s business model according to the actual situation,center on user needs,expand new markets through the integration of various resources,and continuously strengthen enterprises competitiveness through multiple channels to achieve the value proposition of the enterprise.The innovation of this thesis is to study the business model of international shortterm rental platform based on the value network model from the perspective of value realization,and to propose from the value level how the Chinese short-term rental platform should improve the business model and conduct international operations.The perspective is relatively unique and the research is more in-depth. |
