With the continuous upgrading of the power system,people have higher and higher requirements for power equipment.On-line detection,patrol and testing,operating conditions and environment of power equipment are the inevitable trend of the development of state detection and evaluation of power equipment.Because some large-scale electric power equipments work in harsh outdoor environment for a long time,whose performance will decline with the passage of time and gradually reduce the reliability of power consumption.In order to better realize the detection of power equipment and ensure the normal work of power system,in view of the characteristics of common faults in the operation of power equipment,this paper uses image processing technology to analyze and diagnose the operation status of power equipment.This paper mainly introduces the related technology of power equipment detection and analyses the principle and characteristics of modern equipment image technology,which starts from the work of computer vision detection to detect the status of power equipment in substation,and puts forward a scheme of image analysis and fault diagnosis for the operation status of power equipment in substation.By using the image processing technology of MATLAB,the distortion and noise caused by the defect of the equipment itself or the illumination change of the power equipment image are reduced and the image quality is improved.At the same time,it lays a foundation for the next analysis of the equipment and improves the identification and analysis,which improves the accuracy of fault diagnosis of power equipment.Based on the image analysis method of power equipment operation,a major power accident in Shenyang has been analyzed as an example.This paper focuses on the analysis and comparison of the accuracy reflected by different image processing methods on the scene of fire accidents and puts forward the corresponding fault diagnosis methods and relevant suggestions of the detection staff.The detection status of power equipment can beidentified by image processing technology,which is the focus of power equipment status analysis.In order to get more accurate analysis results,it is necessary to further process the detection image and compare it with the normal power equipment image so as to detect the status of power equipment.Judging whether there is a fault in the equipment can ensure the timely maintenance of the faulty power equipment,thus improving the stability of the power system.With the rapid development of computer technology,more and more algorithms related to image processing will emerge in the future.This phenomenon will promote the application of image processing technology in power system so as to make the image analysis and fault diagnosis technology of power equipment operation more perfect,more conducive to the future development of power industry,and has a far-reaching impact on the improvement of power detection and control technology.
