In the context of the made in China 2025 plan proposed by the state,the high reliability of design,processing and manufacturing,or basic materials is an important feature to measure the quality of any electronic products.Rockets,space shuttles,electric cars,instruments,SMD capacitors,resistors and chips all have high requirements for reliability.As servers with high integration and integration,they have more stringent requirements for reliability.The general design of the server should take into account the requirements of structural strength,system configuration compatibility,cable arrangement,vibration reduction and isolation design,heat dissipation and wind situation rationality,electromagnetic compatibility,easy operation of assembly and maintenance,etc.It's a very complex systems engineering.Every link,which require that the design engineer to consider the link and the link between the high reliability designs,in addition to the server system is the most basic power supply reliability,also contains a fan for cooling control reliability,hard disk read reliability,reliability,and high reliability of signal transmission reliability factors.Inspur server has been deeply rooted in the field of server reliability design for many years and has accumulated more experience and methods of optimization design.High reliability in the field of high-density,highperformance server,especially outstanding performance.Therefore,this paper will focus on the high reliability design of the server,from the point of view of mechanism design,high reliability research.And to summarize,guide the server structure optimization design.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Focusing on the hard disk as a storage unit,the vibration isolation and damping methods are adopted from the traditional damping elastic materials to the new honeycomb net,sound-absorbing sponge and other new materials to further optimize the vibration damping effect.From the point of view of hard disk read-write rate(IOPS),repeated comparative experiments were carried out,and finally the optimal scheme of server storage with high reliability was obtained.2.Based on the calculation unit of the main board,the simulation comparative analysis was carried out from multiple perspectives such as the placement of mounting holes on the PCA,the components' layout,and the shape of the back plate stiffiner,etc.,and the vibration and impact test of the bare board without wrapping materials was carried out.The results were evaluated with the method of red dye test.In the optimization process,a new optimization method was tried: in the actual test,multiple strain gauges were embedded to measure the regional strain value,and the numerical back-substitution was carried out to enhance the fitting degree of simulation results.Finally,the optimal design flow with high reliability is obtained.3.Focusing on the connector unit of high-density and high-performance servers,from the design of the connector to the analysis of many possible failure modes of the connector.The importance of fault tolerance in high reliability design is emphasized.Finally,a set of fault-tolerant design method with each degree of freedom is summarized.
