Research On Improvement Of Spare Parts Inventory Management For Company Y Dalian Branch

Semiconductor industry has been a worldwide industry and its development has been got the world’s attention.As an key performance index for production of semiconductor enterprises,spare parts inventory management is also a hot topic in supply chain management.If spare parts inventory is insufficient especially for some customization parts,Suppliers often don’t have enough inventory which should be produced to the order.So the lead time usually up to several months.It will lead to a heavy economic loss if lack of such kind of parts.This paper takes Dalian branch of company Y as the research object and based on the semiconductor industry and market environment.Focus on the research of spare parts inventory management of Dalian branch status quo with internal management process and policy.I also combined with the theoretical of spare parts inventory management,spare parts purchasing management research and supplier management theory research both on domestic and overseas.Based on the issues of spare parts inventory management,spare parts procurement strategy,supplier selection,supplier evaluation and risk control in Dalian branch.In view of the issues were found,I proposed the improvement plans for spare parts inventory management,spare parts procurement strategy and supplier management methodology.Then,I specification the implementation methods of the improvement plan and do further evaluation and summary;To make sure the implementation of the improvement plans smoothly,the paper also suggested the guarantee plans.It included organizational chart adjustment,constructive system of performance management,enterprise cultural construction and implement advanced information technologies.It will be a strong support for overall competitiveness for the Dalian branch of company Y.Based on the actual situation and theory of spare parts inventory management in Dalian branch of company Y,this paper studies and analyzes the improvement plans and implementation guarantee measures of spare parts inventory management,which is very beneficial to the long-term development of Dalian branch of company Y.This study is also expected to provide reference for the spare parts inventory management of similar semiconductor companies both on domestic and overseas.
