In recent years,with the rapid development of China's capital market,the number and amount of transactions in the domestic M & a market have repeatedly reached new highs.There are many cases of Listed Companies in various industries expanding and improving their business through M & A.The rapid development of film and television industry is inseparable from the strong support of the capital market.More and more film and television companies achieve rapid development through merger and reorganization.Beijing light media Co.Ltd.is one of the largest private film and television companies in China.Under the market background of slow growth of film box office in 2016,light media still achieved high-speed growth of operating revenue and operating profit,which is closely related to the company's industrial chain layout by adopting the strategy of continuous merger and acquisition.This paper selects ray media as the case study object,analyzes the motivation and effect of continuous M & A from 2014 to 2017,and draws general enlightenment suitable for the M & A of film and television industry.The case study has reference value for the M & A activities of traditional film and television companies.This paper takes the light media as the object of analysis and research,combined with the current situation of China's media industry and the characteristics of private media enterprises,uses SWOT analysis to analyze the background of light media M & A.From the perspective of obtaining excellent film and television resources,industrial chain layout and profit increase point,this paper analyzes the motives of M & A.In the face of fierce market competition,light media,through the merger and acquisition of active layout,improve the industrial chain,produce and release good film and television works,which to a certain extent gives light media a good synergy.This paper analyzes the operation effect and social culture effect of the merger and acquisition of light media,and concludes that enterprises should pay attention to the maintenance of core advantages,the industrial upgrading,and the good film and television products as the center in combination with China's social and cultural construction,so as to promote the development of related industries and play a positive role in the healthy development of China's cultural industry.
