Home video surveillance systems in smart home systems have become an important part of security systems and play an increasing role in smart home systems for its advantage of being intuitive,simple,powerful,and rich in content.The video surveillance systems have been widely used in many fields due to the rapid development of Internet technology,embedded technology and multimedia technology.As the concept of "wireless city" were proposed,the use of wireless networks such as 4G and Wi Fi has become more widespread,and the video surveillance system gradually evolves from the wired connection to the wireless connection,avoiding complicated wiring and makes the installation more convenient and flexible.Since the video quality tends to be more clear and the increasingly message signals need to be transmitted,the amount of transmitted data increases.In addition,the signals in the wireless transmission process are susceptible to various factors,it is particularly important to ensure the stability of data transmission.To deal with these problems,a video surveillance system based on adaptive network bandwidth is designed and developed.In this paper,the overall architecture of the video surveillance system is designed according to the actual need and the development plan of the monitoring system is determined.It takes the HI3516 A chip as the core hardware development platform and develop application programs on the embedded Linux system firstly.Besides,H.264 coding standard and rate control technology in the video surveillance system are studied,and the network bandwidth measurement mechanism is analyzed.The available bandwidth prediction model based on Gaussian distribution was presented,combined with the real-time frame rate to evaluate the relationship between the current network and the transmission rate to make the dynamic network and video rate control form a closed loop and finally realize an adaptive network bandwidth transmission rate self-regulation mechanism without affecting the network load.Adopting a modular approach to complete the modular design and development of the system is the main developing work.In this approach,the video surveillance system is divided into video capture encoding module,video detection module,adaptive network bandwidth rate control module,and video decoding playback module.The synchronization of audio and video adopts a multi-thread synchronous decoding method based on the time axis instead of the methods such as transplanting the ffmpeg library to make full use of system resources.This paper analyzes the requirement of the whole system and adopts the modular design to make the system have the better expandability and the maintainability which is suitable for embedded system.Meanwhile,each system function in the design scheme is completed and its function test is carried out and achieve the desired effect.A smart home video surveillance system that can adaptively adjust the video bit rate according to the actual network conditions and has the characteristics of networking,integration and digitization is implemented.This article has certain reference significance and reference value for the design of the same kind of video surveillance system.
