Computational thinking improves problem solving and is an essential skill for people.The high school curriculum requires high school students to have computational thinking literacy,and the programming classroom in high school IT is particularly suitable for developing computational thinking in high school students.Therefore,it is necessary to study the teaching design of computational thinking-oriented high school IT programming modules in this paper.After a study of literature related to computational thinking and programming education and a survey of the current situation of high school information curriculum education,this paper first conducts a pre-analysis of the characteristics of high school students,curriculum standards,teaching materials,and the current situation of high school IT programming courses,combines learning elements and learning platforms,and designs a teaching and learning process for a computational thinking-oriented high school programming module with reference to the general process of computational thinking problem solving and the core concepts of computational thinking.The teaching process is based on a programming case study and is oriented towards computational thinking,guiding students to always think and solve problems in a computational thinking way,ultimately achieving an improvement in their computational thinking skills.Then,two teaching cases are designed based on the teaching process.The cases are selected from the selection structure and the loop structure part of the programming module of the high school information course.Finally,a control class and an experimental class were set up using the experimental research method,and the experimental data were analysed and collated using tools such as computational thinking scales,classroom observation forms and interview transcripts,and the experimental results were analysed.After theoretical and experimental analyses,the results show that this paper's computational thinking-oriented teaching design for high school IT programming modules can effectively improve students' interest in learning programming and their computational thinking skills,and can provide some reference for high school IT teaching.
