After Professor Jeannette M.Wing,Director of Computer Department of Carnegie Mellon University,put forward the concept of Computational Thinking in 2008,computational thinking has attracted the attention of researchers at home and abroad.With the continuous in-depth study of computational thinking,more and more scholars have paid attention to the importance of Computational Thinking in the classroom.However,computational thinking is a big concept,there is no definite method for the cultivation of Computational Thinking in teaching at present,and there is no quantitative evaluation standard for the cultivation of Computational Thinking ability.This study,from the perspective of cultivating students'computational thinking,designs and practices junior high school Python program courses,Further explore ways to develop computational thinking and verify its effectiveness.Firstly,based on the literature analysis,this paper combine the concept of computational thinking and the research status of computational thinking in teaching.Then,based on the characteristics of computational thinking,the paper proposes the teaching design ideas and processes of Python programming.Based on this idea,the"sequence structure","selection structure" and "circular structure" were selected as concrete objects,and detailed teaching design was carried out.The design was applied to practice and carried out teaching research.The study selected 810 classes to conduct teaching practice in Middle School attached to Central China Normal University.And through classroom observer feedback and classroom operation test in thinking teaching,and then statistically analyze the data to verify The cultivation of computational thinking teaching.After statistical analysis,the research results are obtained.1)Before and after the computational thinking teaching,the students' ability to analyze problems is improved;2)Before and after the computational thinking teaching,The abstract ability of students rises straight;3)Before and after the computational thinking teaching,The students' algorithms and procedural skills are improved;4)Before and after the computational thinking teaching,the student's ability to automate has changed;5)The computational thinking-oriented instructional design helps to develop students' computational thinking ability.Generally speaking,the research promotes students' interest in learning Python program to a certain extent,cultivates students' ability to analyze and solve problems,and improves students' confidence and determination to solve complex problems.The research in this paper has explored the cultivation of computational thinking ability of junior high school students,and strives to provide some reference for front-line teachers of information technology courses.
