Modern and contemporary prose is famous for its “beauty”.Its beautiful and romantic artistic conception,fresh and meaningful language,and flexible writing techniques all give people a feeling of beauty.Prose plays an important educational role in cultivating students’ ability of language expression,text analysis and aesthetic appreciation.Therefore,it is loved by textbook editors,so it is regarded as the leading text category of the Chinese textbook for junior middle school.However,But there are some problems in modern and contemporary prose teaching,such as neglecting students’ emotional experience and paying too much attention to test-oriented skills training,which directly affect the achievement of the whole teaching goal.Therefore,how to improve the teaching effect of modern and contemporary prose has become a difficult problem for teachers.Scaffolding teaching originated from constructionism theory and “zone of proximal development” theory,which is one of the three teaching modes of constructionism.It emphasizes students as the main body,emphasizes students’ active construction of knowledge,and advocates the construction of hierarchical support according to students’ “zone of proximal development” to help students improve their level ability.The introduction of this theory into the classroom teaching of modern and contemporary prose in junior middle school will help to improve the present situation of prose teaching and make the prose classroom look brand-new.In the prose class under the guidance of scaffolding teaching theory,Students’ subjectivity in class can be fully utilized,they have enough time and opportunity to explore the meaning of the text,feel the beauty of prose,and students’ reading appreciation ability can be really improved.The process of reading prose is the process of aesthetic appreciation.This paper mainly adopts literature research method and case analysis method to explore the application of scaffolding teaching in modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior middle school.The research content is mainly divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly explains and analyzes the research objectives and methods at home and abroad.The second part mainly defines the basic concept of “scaffolding teaching”,and combs the theoretical basis of Scaffolding Teaching from two aspects of constructivism theory and“zone of proximal development” theory,so as to find theoretical support for its application in modern and contemporary prose teaching in junior middle schools.The third part analyzes the feasibility of the application of scaffolding teaching in junior middle school’s modern and contemporary prose teaching,laying a realistic foundation for its practical teaching.The fourth part is the focus of this paper: exploring the application design of scaffolding teaching.This part combined with the specific teaching cases,according to the style of prose characteristics and teaching goal,summarizes the manifestation of eight kinds of learning support form,exploration of scaffolding instruction applied in junior high school basic procedures of modem and contemporary prose teaching: based on learning and construct scaffold;create contexts and guide inquiry;explore independently and acquire knowledge;learn cooperatively and expand thinking;evaluate results and complete construction.The fifth part summarizes the problems existing in the practical application of scaffolding teaching in modern and contemporary prose teaching,and puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures,in order to provide reference for front-line teachers in the practical application of scaffolding teaching theory.
