Background: General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "the effectiveness of reform should be evaluated by whether it promotes economic and social development and brings sense of gain to the people." In the new era,"sense of gain" has become a new requirement of social assistance. As a "bridge" between the social assistance recipients and the government, the intervention of social work has important practical significance for the improvement of "sense of gain".Methods:Therefore, the concept of "sense of gain" is firstly introduced into the intervention of social work in social assistance.Taking the "Bridge Project" as an example, the participation observation method and the analytical framework of "five-factor structure of sense of gain" are used to sort out the intervention content of social work and answer the research question 1,"the social work intervention status quo" : That is,how does social work intervene in the "sense of gain" of social social assistance recipients; In addition, through variance analysis of "sense of gain" scores under different levels of social work intervention and in-depth interviews with effective cases, this study attempts to explore the research question 2,"intervention effectiveness" in the qualitative combination, that is,the specific effectiveness of social work intervention in improving "sense of gain".Finally, based on the content and effectiveness of social work intervention, this paper attempts to combine the dynamic change process of all dimensions of "sense of gain" under social work intervention with social work practice,to summarize the dynamic intervention path of social work to improve the "sense of gain" of social assistance recipients, and answer the research question 3,"Promotion path".That is,the social work path to improve the "sense of gain" of social social assistance recipients.Findings:In terms of "the social work intervention status quo",the professional advantages of social work intervention at the level of "access to content","access to environment" and "access to way" are fully reflected, but there is less positive reinforcement in the dimensions of "access to experience" and "access to sharing".In terms of "intervention effectiveness",the intervention of social work is effective in improving the "sense of gain" of social assistance recipients, and the degree of intervention is directly proportional to the overall effect of "sense of gain",but the improvement effects of different dimensions show great differences under different levels of intervention. The improvement of "sense of gain" is based on " gain awareness","visible awareness" is easy to improve "sense of gain",and the improvement of "invisible awareness" needs to be based on the realization of basic needs. Therefore, the improvement of "sense of gain" is not achieved overnight and requires a solid foundation of intervention. In terms of "social work path of improving the " sense of gain " ",based on the current situation and results, this paper summarizes the following ways to improve the "sense of gain" of social assistance recipients through social work intervention:(1)re-evaluation of "access to content" : rebuilding the evaluation basis in response to "individual needs";(2)Re-trust of "access to environment" : reshape the supporting environment in the intervention of "system perspective";(3)Re-mastering of "access to way" : regain initiative in the empowerment of "stimulating potential";(4)New linkage of "access to way","access to experience" and "access to sharing" : three dimensions of interaction mechanism. Finally, this paper puts forward the cost dilemma and goal dilemma of improving "sense of gain" in social work practice, and puts forward relevant suggestions for improving "sense of gain".
