Algebraic form is the foundation of junior high school algebra knowledge.It is a bridge between primary mathematics and middle mathematics.It is also an important content of junior high school students' mathematics learning.It plays a vital role in cultivating students' mathematics knowledge in junior high school.This thesis mainly studies the difficulties that junior students have in learning algebraic expressions and the causes of those difficulties,and finally propose some corresponding suggestions.The participants of this thesis are junior high school students of two parallel classes in a middle school.After consulting the literature and materials,as well as the study of mathematics and mathematics textbooks for primary schools,a survey questionnaire was designed.According to the results of the completed questionnaire,it is essential to summarize the learning difficulties that junior students have when learning algebraic expressions and analyzes the specific reasons for these difficulties:The types of students learning algebraic difficulties are mainly included four parts.First,It is difficult for junior high students to understand the alphabetic symbols and expression;Second,the students pay less attention to the habitual use of alphabetic symbols;Third,it is hard for students to apply for the overall substitution into the mind;Fourth,some incorrect use of arithmetic rules have been found.Based on these problems,the reasons for difficulties are mainly consist of five types.First,it depends on the cognitive structure of the first-year students;Secondly,the characteristics of the mathematical symbol language is unfamiliar with them;Third,the students are not well-acquainted with basic knowledge;Fourth,students are not understand the characteristics of algebraic operations;Fifth,the writing of mathematical symbols is not standardized.Based on the above analysis,different solutions were put forward.First,teachers should pay attention to the gradual progress of teaching;at the same time,they should help students clarify the differences and linkages between arithmetic and algebraic expressions.According to the students' learning situation,teachers should make corresponding teaching strategies in teaching,and try to explain the students' non-understanding knowledge in a way that students can easily understand.Seconds,Algebraic equations are an important factor in learning algebraic expressions.Students must read each algebraic expression.In writing,they must also do normativewriting,and correctly express the meaning of each algebraic expression.Finally,it is necessary to actively apply algebraic knowledge to solve problems by improving problem solving skills and expand thinking.
