Parallelogram is a difficult point in junior high school geometry teaching.The knowledge content is complex and concepts overlap.Which is difficult for junior high school students to build a parallelogram knowledge network.Research shows that many primary and secondary school teachers believe that mind maps is beneficial for students to clarify the hierarchical relationship between knowledge,but teachers still lack effective method guidance on how to apply mind maps in specific teaching content.Based on this,the author conducts the following research by sorting out and analyzing literature,surveys,interviews and case studies:The first part is a literature review.Firstly,from the five aspects of the concept of mind map,three common types,basic structure,characteristics and drawing,the essence and function of mind map are analyzed.Secondly,the domestic related researches on "mind map" and "parallelogram" are reviewed,which confirms the necessity and feasibility of mind map assisting "parallelogram" teaching.The second part is the analysis of the teaching elements of the parallelogram chapter.Starting from the curriculum standard,it analyzes the teaching requirements of this chapter in two aspects.Starting from the textbook,the parallelogram chapter textbook is analyzed from the arrangement sequence,knowledge structure and thinking method by using mind map,which lays a solid content foundation for the investigation of teaching status and design of teaching cases.The third part is the investigation and analysis of the current situation of parallelogram teaching.We do this by paper tests and student interviews to understand the current situation of parallelogram teaching,and then summarize the value of mind map-assisted parallelogram chapter teaching:(1)Sort out classroom knowledge and build a complete knowledge network;(2)Link geometric knowledge and summarize mathematical thinking methods;(3)Organize and summarize after class to cultivate effective learning methods.The fourth part is the mode construction of mind map-assisted parallelogram chapter teaching.To begin with,the author puts forward the principles that mind mapping should follow in the teaching of this chapter.what's more,from the three different stages of pre-class,in-class and after-class,it specifically expounds the use of mind map in the teaching of this chapter,laying a method foundation for mind map to assist parallelogram teaching.The fifth part is the design and implementation of teaching cases.Taking "judgment of parallelogram" and "property of rectangle" as examples,the teaching ideas and teaching process are respectively stated.After the practice,combined with teacher feedback and student interviews,the advantages and limitations of mind maps in parallelogram teaching were obtained,and finally we draw a conclusion that the use of mind maps can help students build parallelogram knowledge networks and deepen their memory as well as the understanding of knowledge.
