With the gradual advancement of China's basic education reform,the development of curriculum resources is a hot spot in each curriculum reform.Local geography curriculum is an important supplement to the National Geography Curriculum in middle school.It occupies a place in middle school geography teaching and plays an important role in popularizing local knowledge,improving interest in learning geography and cultivating feelings of family and country.Xining is the Oriental gateway of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau,with rich local geographical resources and splendid national cultural resources.However,at present,there is little research on the development of local geography curriculum resources in Xining city and even Qinghai Province,which makes the local geography resources not effectively utilized,resulting in the general lack of local knowledge of middle school students in Xining city.This paper takes the development of local geography curriculum resources in Xining City as the research object,uses the methods of literature research and questionnaire survey,defines the current situation and existing problems of local geography curriculum resources in senior high school geography teaching in Xining City,and analyzes the causes.Through the questionnaire survey,it is found that most teachers and students in Xining city support the development of local geography curriculum resources and affirm the important role of curriculum resources development and application.However,in the actual teaching process,the development and application of local geography curriculum resources in senior high schools in Xining are not optimistic.There are mainly the following problems: teachers have insufficient cognition of local geography curriculum resources development,lack of relevant training and learning,and little development experience;The existing local teaching materials have a low degree of integration with the national geography curriculum,the regional culture is not fully displayed,and there is a lack of class arrangement,and the teaching form is single;There is no reasonable curriculum development team,and there are disputes on the development subject;The support of relevant departments is low,the curriculum development is not paid enough attention,and the fund investment is insufficient;Limited by the current situation of local curriculum education,students have a shallow understanding of local geography in Xining city.Based on the problems found in the survey,the construction of Xining high school local geography curriculum resource system needs to be improved.In order to supplement the lack of geography curriculum field,combined with the characteristics of Xining local geography resources and the requirements of the new curriculum standards,the nature and objectives of Xining local geography curriculum resources are determined,and the teaching content directory of Xining high school local geography curriculum resources is integrated,This paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the development of local geography curriculum resources in senior high schools in Xining from different levels,and designs teaching cases of "water cycle-Taking the construction of sponge city in Xining as an example" and "agricultural location factors-Taking Huangshui valley agriculture as an example",so as to provide reference for local geography teaching in Xining,Explore the new way of Xining local geography resources in senior high school geography classroom teaching.
