As an applied subject,the most important feature of primary mathematics is that it is derived from and applied to daily life.However,influenced by the traditional teaching mode in China,some teachers still use the lecture method in the classroom,and teachers tend to pay attention to the output of knowledge in the classroom,while ignoring the main position of students,which in turn fails to mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning mathematics,resulting in students' interest in mathematics gradually weakening,making it difficult for students to apply their knowledge to daily life and deal with reality problems.In the face of this situation,the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards clearly put forward: mathematics education activities should be based on life,based on society,based on the real life world of students,so teachers should change the concept of teaching,adopt positive life teaching methods,improve the teaching situation,return to the teaching of the real,but in practice,primary mathematics life teaching in the specific implementation process there are still some problems.This thesis therefore seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation of the implementation of living teaching in primary mathematics by conducting a large number of investigations and studies on the current situation of primary mathematics,identifying problems,analyzing the causes,and then proposing feasible strategies for improvement.This thesis employs questionnaires,classroom observations,and interviews with front-line teachers as research methodologies to get a thorough grasp of the current state of live mathematics teaching in primary schools from both students and teachers' perspectives,and through the analysis of the findings,summarizes that the current problems of living mathematics teaching in primary schools mainly include three aspects: first,the problems in teachers' cognition;second,the problems in teachers' teaching behaviour;and third,the problems in teachers' own ability.Thirdly,there are problems in teachers' own abilities.In view of the above three problems,the causes of the problems are analyzed from the perspectives of society,schools,students' families and teachers themselves,and then specific improvement measures are proposed to gradually change the shortcomings of the current living teaching of primary school mathematics from the teachers themselves,so as to make the living teaching more adaptable to the development of students at this stage and to achieve the overall improvement of students' comprehensive literacy.
