At present,the basic education curriculum reform has entered a new stage of development,which has higher requirements for the quality of school running.Promoting the professional growth of primary and secondary school principals,on the one hand,is conducive to grasping the direction,planning the development of schools,improving the competitiveness of schools,and forming school characteristics;Facilitate individualized development of students.Improving the professional level of principals is not only to promote the personal growth of principals and the development of schools,but also to promote the all-round development of students.Based on the theory of professional development of principals and the theory of hierarchy of needs,this study takes the principals of primary and secondary schools in public schools in H City,Heilongjiang Province as the survey objects.With the help of questionnaires and in-depth interviews,the three majors of principals' professional knowledge,professional ability,professional spirit and professional philosophy are analyzed.Starting from the development dimension,this paper investigates and analyzes the professional growth needs of primary and secondary school principals.It is found that there are limitations in the principal's professional growth needs;the matching degree between the principal's growth needs and professional training is insufficient;the principal's professional growth lacks normative;the principal's growth space is insufficient and the autonomy is limited.According to the investigation and analysis of the professional growth needs and influencing factors of primary and secondary schools,it is concluded that the principals'professional growth needs are mainly affected by the system,the environment,and the principal's personal factors.From the perspective of institutional factors,it includes factors such as the slow reform process of the principal's management system and the imperfect training system;from the perspective of the environment,it is affected by the external pressure of the principal and the lack of attention from the education department;from the subjective factor of the principal,the professional growth of the principal The lack of awareness is the main reason for the lack of growth motivation of the principal.In order to meet the professional growth needs of principals and promote the professional development of principals,this paper proposes the following strategies:in terms of systems,promote the reform process of the rank system,improve the principal qualification system,design a scientific principal evaluation system,innovate the principal training system,and carry out personalized training.To meet the growth needs of the principal;in terms of the environment,create a relaxed external environment and create a harmonious internal environment;in terms of the principal's personal aspect,strengthen the professional growth awareness and establish problem awareness,and stimulate the principal's internal motivation into practical actions.
