according to the results,8 students of different levels were randomly selected to conduct interviews on the questions of the test paper to understand the difficulties encountered by the students in answering the questions,so as to supplement the deficiencies of the test paper.Based on the data analysis and interview results, the following conclusions are drawn.(1)Students have a certain level of understanding of probability concepts before learning probability, and most students are level 2 and level 3.Students have a good understanding of probability concepts in one-dimensional situations, and have a good understanding of probability concepts in two-dimensional situations.Poor conceptual understanding.(2)There are significant differences in the understanding level of probability concepts among eighth-grade students at different class levels. The average understanding level of probability concepts in this class is usually relatively high in a class with a better average score in mathematics. There is no significant difference in the comprehension ability of the eighth grade students of different genders.(3)The main reasons for students' difficulty in understanding concepts:(1)Subjective judgment method, some students tend to answer questions based on their own intuition when solving random conceptual tasks.(2)Equiprobability,which is manifested in the fact that students believe that the probability of occurrence of all the results of the experiment is the same and is 50%.(3)"Frequency" is "probability".most of them only did 10 trials and wrote down their answers according to the number of trials except for the level 4 students,.Students mistakenly thought the value of frequency was the value of probability. Finally, suggestions are put forward from two aspects of teachers' teaching and students' learning, hoping to help improve students' understanding of probability concepts.
