With the development of society, the progress of the times,Probability and statisticshas become the people daily life essential part. With basic probability and statistics theoryhas become the basic quality of every citizen. Since the implementation of the newcurriculum reform, high school mathematics in statistics and probability content also hasundergone many changes. So the content of probability of a new round of teaching researchis increasingly urgent. To understand students and teachers on the probability of thecognitive situation of teachers teaching and students learning is very important.The present study is to investigate the background of the new curriculum in senior highschool students on the probability under content understanding, Common mistakes which tohave. These are problems that deserve attention. This study chooses some Daqing citypriority high school high school students are investigated.This paper is a study on:1. Under the background of new curriculum on probability definition understanding.2. Under the background of new curriculum on the classical definition of probability tounderstand.3. Under the background of new curriculum on the probability of the geometricdefinition understanding.4. Under the background of new curriculum of the Monte Carlo method of ability.Study on the whole is divided into four parts. Each part is through questionnaireinvestigation, using SOLO classification method to analyze the students to the correspondingcontent understanding, at the same time according to the obtained data and carry on to thestudent interviews to students in learning probability analysis on common mistakes which tohave.The first part is inspects the student to the probability definition understanding. Ismainly inspects the student to understand the relation between probability and frequency,and the common mistakes. The second part is inspects the student to the classical definitionof probability to understand. The third part is the study of geometric model of students’understanding of the situation. The fourth part is to investigate students using computersimulation method to estimate the probability of ability.Based on the analysis of the questionnaire, mainly has following four conclusions:1. There are approximately30%students on probability definition reach R level." Thepredicted method" is a student in the probability defined learning mistakes. In addition, there are some of them on the probability and frequency of the relationship between the masterdoes not reach the designated position, basically no student can according to the law of largenumbers to understand the relationship between the two.2. Nearly half of the students do not understand the essence of classical probabilitymodel. Students the basic events identify ability remains to strengthen. There areapproximately6%students" representativeness bias", Approximately40%of the students arestill" simple compound method" error." May bias" view is a more extensive error, is a highschool student probability learning.3. In geometry probability model study, about50%of the students and there is no realunderstanding of the essence of the geometric probability model. Students identify the basicand constitutes the region less able," May bias" is still a student probability a barrier tolearning. More than half of the students application of geometric probability problem solvingability.4. The application of Monte Carlo method in students’ problem solving ability is verypoor.
