The renewal of science and technology in today’s world has promoted the development of productivity,economic prosperity and social progress,and facilitated changes in people’s production methods,lifestyles and ways of thinking,which have put forward new requirements for the development of core literacy for every student.Conducting a study on the development and utilization of science curriculum resources in elementary schools under the concept of core literacy can further implement the cultivation of students’ core literacy,enrich and enrich curriculum development theories,provide reference and reflection for educational administrators as well as front-line teachers in Wuhou District to develop and utilize curriculum and optimize curriculum resources,and even provide guidance for elementary schools nationwide to develop and utilize science curriculum resources.This study takes elementary schools in Wuhou District,Chengdu,as an entry point to investigate the current situation of developing and utilizing science curriculum resources in elementary schools,analyze the shortcomings and reasons for them,and then propose recommendations for developing and utilizing curriculum resources in conjunction with the key points of core literacy.In the survey,it was found that the lack of deep understanding of core literacy,lack of attention from higher-level leaders,lack of hardware and equipment,lack of professionalism of teachers,and lack of students’ sense of autonomy and hands-on ability are important reasons that hinder the development and utilization of curriculum resources under the concept of core literacy.In response to this situation,the author proposes a series of effective improvement strategies starting from each dimension of core literacy.With core literacy as the main line,this study can provide new thinking about the path of developing and utilizing elementary school science curriculum resources,provide more rich and interesting resources and platforms for science teaching,stimulate students’ interest in learning,cultivate scientific spirit,practical innovation and other literacies,and provide motivational support for students’ development.
