In the entire process of cultivating newcomers of the era,textbooks are the most direct,most important,least negligible and influential tool.It is not only an important carrier of educational knowledge and skills,but also an important carrier of social norms,mainstream values,and ideological education.The role models who can enter the textbooks also have the characteristics of certain socially recognized role models.This study hopes to analyze the role models of junior high school Chinese textbooks since the founding of New China from a sociological perspective,hoping to contribute to the theoretical construction of Chinese textbooks.This research takes five sets of junior high school Chinese textbooks since the founding of New China as the research object.The thesis mainly includes five parts:firstly,it introduces the background,research ideas and research status of the whole research;then,the historical changes of the role models in the junior high school Chinese textbooks are tried.Interpret the role models in textbooks at different historical stages;explore the characteristics of the role models in the textbooks on this basis,explore the characteristics of the role models’ natural attributes,social roles,and internal image changes;and then the reasons for the changes in the role models in the textbooks Research,dig out the background of the changes of role models;finally,reflect on the changes of textbook role models,hoping to provide opinions and suggestions for the selection of textbook role models in the future.This study found that role models in different historical periods have different types and ways of shaping them,and they have distinct characteristics of the times.The characteristics of role model changes can be summarized from the three dimensions of natural attributes,social roles and internal images.The changes of role models are closely related to the changes in the social background,the changes in education positioning.Finally,the author puts forward suggestions on the selection of role models for junior middle school Chinese textbooks in the future based on the identity,age,gender,age and country of the role models.
