| In recent years,engineering education has been paid more and more attention by governments around the world,and more and more people have realized that engineering education in primary and secondary schools plays an important role in the screening,training and transportation of engineering talents.Different from higher engineering education,engineering education in primary schools pays more attention to students’ basic understanding of engineering,interest in engineering design and yearning for engineering career,which is the cornerstone of higher engineering education and affects the quality of the whole engineering education to a certain extent.However,at present,most of the relevant research on engineering education in China is still focused on higher engineering education,and there is little research on primary engineering education.In the actual teaching practice,engineering education in primary schools has not been paid enough attention to.At present,engineering education in primary schools is mainly infiltrated in the integration of related disciplines.The national level lacks clear guidance on the engineering education in primary schools and teaching resources,and there are differences in engineering education levels between different schools.Therefore,through discussing the advanced content of engineering education in primary schools,a content framework with guiding significance is formed to provide support for the development of engineering education curriculum in schools.This research mainly adopts literature research to introduce the research status of engineering education and learning progression at home and abroad,analyze the theoretical basis of constructing the content of engineering education in primary schools based on learning progression,and put forward the development mode of learning progression in this research.Based on the analysis of relevant curriculum standards at home and abroad,it is proposed that the goal of engineering education in primary schools in China is to lay a foundation for the cultivation of students’ engineering literacy,including the following aspects: to enable students to have certain engineering knowledge,form a preliminary engineering concept,have a preliminary engineering design ability,and develop a good engineering thinking.Accordingly,refer to the 《 Standards for Technological and Engineering Literacy: Defining the Role of Technology and Engineering in STEM Education》,《Primary Science Curriculum Standards》and the textbooks of General Technology such as《 technology and design 2》,formulate the primary content of the engineering education advanced path,better and using Delphi method to determine the authoritative expert team to evaluate the rationality of the proposed framework,filter entries by boundary value standard method,combined with expert opinion,modified until experts tend to agree.After two rounds of expert consultation,the content of engineering education in primary schools was finally determined to include three aspects: engineering concept,engineering principle and design process,and 8 core concepts,18 sub-concepts and learning performance of each learning section were determined,thus constructing an advanced framework of engineering education content in primary schools.Based on the content framework of engineering education in primary schools and the current development of engineering education in primary schools in China,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to carry out engineering education in primary schools from the aspects of external conditions and teachers themselves.The educational administrative departments should form clear guidance opinions and provide abundant training of engineering courses;The school should arrange appropriate curriculum plan according to its own situation;Teachers should take thinking as the guide and design teaching activities effectively,take learning performance as reference and evaluate students’ learning scientifically. |
