With the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization,the number of empty-nest elderly people in cities has surged,and a large number of empty-nest families have appeared in cities.At present,the empty nesters in cities,as one of the social vulnerable groups,are constantly weakening their ability to obtain social resources and social support,and are facing a "double crisis" both physically and mentally.In order to solve this problem,social work organizations and people from all walks of life need to pay close attention and make sustained efforts.This investigation takes community D in H city as an example.Through on-the-spot interviews and active intervention of empty nesters in the community,the spiritual dilemma and service needs of empty nesters in cities are further clarified.Firstly,the paper defines the concept of psychological problems of empty nesters in cities,and clarifies the characteristics and development trend of psychological problems of this group at present.Secondly,it discusses the necessity and feasibility of social work intervening in the research of empty nesters’ psychological problems in cities,and clarifies the necessity and urgency of current intervention.Then,through the intervention of group work and case work,we deeply analyze the causes of the problems,assess the needs of the case owners,and gradually resolve the physical and mental health problems of the case owners.Finally,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions,hoping that through the continuous intervention of social work and continuous project services,the empty nest elderly in cities can be helped to alleviate the "empty nest syndrome" and enjoy their old age. |
