For junior middle school students of ethnic minorities in South Xinjiang,there are some difficulties in mastering the national common language,which leads to the deviation of reading comprehension of mathematical problems in the process of mathematics learning,which will affect the improvement and development of their mathematical ability and mathematical literacy.For the mathematics teachers in South Xinjiang,how to improve the students' ability of reading comprehension is an important issue.The article used the methods of investigation,test roll and interview.The students of grade nine in the southern grand region were the key research subjects.They had a survey and Study on the current situation of their math reading ability.Through the examination paper,125 students from three schools in Shache city were tested and analyzed the math reading ability of grade nine students in the South Grand.They had an interview with 10 junior high school math teachers in three schools about math reading teaching.They had known the current situation of math reading ability of students in grade nine in the southern grand city and its influence factors.Through the analysis of the research results,they came to the following conclusion:in the southern grand region,the status of students' math reading ability in Grade Nine:(1)students in grade nine had a relatively high ability of character recognition,but they still needed to further develop(2)Students in grade nine had poor language translation ability(3)The overall understanding ability still needed to be developed and improved(4)The information extracting was not accurate and comprehensive.The main factors that affected the improvement of students' math reading ability were:(1)there was no good atmosphere outside to guide students to improve their reading ability(2)The teachers didn't pay enough attention to math reading,and their guidance was not good(3)The students didn't pay much attention to math reading,so they were not interested in it(4)The influence of math language.Based on the conclusion of the study,the teaching suggestions were as follows:(1)to create a good reading environment for students in the southern land(2)To improve the guiding ability of teachers in language training(3)To improve students' interest in math reading(4)Guiding students to learn how to screen the key information(5)To improve the structure of junior high school students' math knowledge.
