As one of the indispensable components,independent colleges contributed largely to Chinese higher education system by enabling the latter to advance smoothly and go for popularization.Knowledge sharing,which is an ideal learning style,helps teachers reflect on themselves and achieve the gradual development from theory to practice and vice versa.In this study,we investigated the teachers' recognition to knowledge sharing and its associated impacts on independent college A via questionnaire survey.Based on the collection of valid questionnaires,reliability analysis and validity analysis,and statistical analysis,we drew a few preliminary conclusions.On one hand,it is widely believed by the teachers in independent college A that good sharing style,good incentive system and good organizational climate are all key factors that may promote knowledge sharing;however,they are uncertain about the current status of knowledge sharing of their colleges.This is presumably due to the unestablished or incomplete knowledge sharing system in independent college A,and/or the lack of associated rules and regulations.On the other hand,compared to junior faculties,the teachers with more teaching experience and higher professional titles normally inhibit less will of knowledge sharing.This study intends to provide a few suggestions and solutions to the issues discussed above mainly on how to stimulate the willingness of knowledge sharing among the teachers in independent college A.They include: 1.Policymakers should establish distinct management and appraisal system that could push ahead with knowledge sharing attempts among teachers from different backgrounds;2.A proper and healthy evaluation system with fairness of teaching awards should be established to serve all teachers.3.All teachers should have an access to the opportunities to communicate and learn from the experts in the related field.4.An environment of nurturing knowledge-sharing among teachers should be created to promote the communication and cooperation.5.The cooperation and integration should be carefully developed among teachers from different academic backgrounds.6.Some efforts should be carried out to improve the knowledge-sharing by enforcing and taking the advantages of the parent university and investment group of independent college A.We hope the findings of this study be concerned by the policymakers of independent college A,and then,a few systems presented here could be attempted to improve the teaching level and practical ability of all teachers in independent college A.Moreover,the evaluation of implementing effect could also promote the relevant research.
