A Study On The Intervention Of Social Work In Alleviating The Interpersonal Communication Barrier Of The Elderly In Welfare Homes

According to the results of the latest census,the elderly population in my country has exceeded 250 million,and more than half of the elderly choose community home care.This result shows us that with the intensification of the aging of the population,the elderly are facing endless problems in the care of the elderly.On the one hand,as the elderly grows,various functions of the body may be weakened to different degrees,and these problems will give rise to problems.Their old age brings a certain degree of influence.On the other hand,the original family life of the elderly has to change to the institutional setting after arriving at the institution,which makes the problems encountered by some elderly people in an unfamiliar environment more serious than those in the community or at home.The problem of barriers to interpersonal communication among the elderly in this research is the main part of the elderly care problems.The specific manifestations of barriers to interpersonal communication are divided into three dimensions: first,lack of willingness to communicate,passive communication;second,lack of interpersonal interaction,relationship Alienation;third,emotional and prone to conflict.This article adopts the literature method,questionnaire method,observation method and interview method to analyze the performance,causes and needs of the barriers of the elderly with interpersonal communication barriers in the welfare home;then use the energy augmentation theory,the social exchange theory and the social support theory as the theoretical support,Design a set of reasonable intervention plans;finally,implement practical interventions to the service objects through group work,and use the questionnaire survey method to evaluate the service effect,so as to help the service objects alleviate the barriers of interpersonal communication and improve the ability of interpersonal communication.Through this research,the author believes that using social work methods to investigate the current situation of the interpersonal communication of the elderly in the W Welfare Institute in Y City,on the one hand,according to the needs of the elderly,they actively seek interaction media for them,and the workers integrate resources inside and outside the hospital.To build an interpersonal communication platform for the elderly,ease the interpersonal communication barriers of the elderly in the welfare home,and improve the interpersonal communication skills of the elderly.On the other hand,it also broadens the horizon and accumulates materials for the cooperation and development of social work organizations and welfare homes.
