China has been carrying out the reform of high school mathematics for more than ten years,Many experts and scholars keep enhancing the study of mathematical modeling from the theories and practices of the course.In recent years,the teaching of mathematical modeling activities in senior high schools failing to reach the expected goal of education.While the public hope that through the teaching of mathematical modeling activities in senior high schools,talents needed for the new times can be cultivated,education can truly enter the era of education 4.0,and more new workers with innovative ability can be cultivated.At this very time,STEAM education concept is just like a timely spring rain,which can provide some new ideas for the teaching design of mathematical modeling activities in senior high schools in China.First of all,with a large number of literature readings,I have integrated and analyzed the origin and development of STEAM education and high school mathematical modeling activities;reached an conceptual definition of the STEAM education,high school mathematical modeling activities,and teaching design;and laid a theoretical basis on the combination of STEAM education and high school mathematical modeling teaching.Therefore I can have a theoretical foundation for follow-up study.Secondly,by researching relative theoretical materials,the characteristics and values of STEAM educational idea based high school mathematical modeling teaching design has been combed out.At the same time,I have made a questionnaire of high school students mathematics modeling learning situation and a questionnaire of high school mathematical modeling teaching;then named the problems existing in the domestic high school mathematical modeling teaching,combining STEAM educational idea;summarized the principles,implementation strategies and implementation flow charts of high school mathematical modeling teaching design which based on STEAM educational idea;and designed related cases.Finally,I have carried out a practice in a class of senior one in Nanchong A Middle School.Related cases of high school mathematical modeling teaching design have been put into my practice.Then I have observed the teaching process,interviewed the teacher,and further examined the STEAM educational idea based high school mathematical modeling teaching design.Thus help to improve the effectiveness of high school mathematical modeling teaching,cultivate innovative and applicable talents with scientific and humanitarian accomplishments,and better realize the educational value of mathematical modeling.
