Social exclusion often occurs in social interactions, which can negatively affect individuals in many aspects such as cognition, emotion, behavior, and even health. At the same time, individuals,as the basic unit of a group, their psychological and physical conditions will also affect the group and inter-group relations, and the efficient and rapid development of society is inseparable from stable, harmonious and healthy inter-group relations.Previous studies on social exclusion paid more attention to the physical and mental impact on the targets of exclusion. However, social exclusion not only has psychological and physical effects on the object of rejection, but also has an impact on third parties(bystanders). The cognition and actions of bystanders play an important role in the subsequent development of rejection events.Since the social class reflects the individual's objective social resources and subjectively perceived social status,it is one of the relatively stable and strong signals carried by each person, and it plays an important role in the process of social interaction.Current research focuses on groups within the class Relations or inter-group relations between classes have an exclusion scenario. Will social class status affect others' judgments on exclusion events, and thus affect people's pro-social behavior? From the perspective of a third party(bystander),it has important theoretical and practical significance to examine the judgment and attribution of the rationality of social exclusion based on the group identity of the social class and the subsequent tendency of making friends. This research explores through two experiments:The first study adopted a design of 2(social class of exclusion source: high,low)×2(target social class of exclusion: high, low),and uses the Cyberball paradigm to explore the influence of the individual's social class status on the bystander's judgment of social exclusion in the exclusion situation. The results show that bystanders believe that social exclusion is unreasonable,The results show that regardless of whether the target of exclusion is the high class or the low class, the exclusion between members of the inner group or the exclusion between members of the outer group, bystanders believe that social exclusion is unreasonable;secondly, compared with the out-group,the in-group The rejection is even more unreasonable. The second study repeatedly verified the influence of group identity on social judgment in the context of exclusion by changing the indicators of social class. The preliminary experiment screened out three of the most representative high-class occupations and three low-class occupations respectively based on the "Classification of Occupations of the People's Republic of China(2015Edition)" and Lu Xueyi classification criteria for China's top ten social classes. The formal experiment adopts a design of 2(social class of exclusion source: high, low)× 2(target social class of exclusion: high, low).Through online experiment procedures, the rationality of group identity in the exclusion scenario is explored for the exclusion scenario,Emotions, attribution judgments, and subsequent communication tendencies toward goals and sources. The results show that bystanders believe that social exclusion is unreasonable,The results show that regardless of whether the target of exclusion is the high class or the low class, the exclusion between members of the inner group or the exclusion between members of the outer group, bystanders believe that social exclusion is unreasonable;secondly, compared with the out-group,the in-group The rejection is even more unreasonable.(repetition of the results of verification experiment 1).Bystanders express anger at the source of rejection, tend to sympathize with the target and are more willing to make friends with the target.Bystanders are more inclined to attribute the exclusion of the in-group to punitive motives, and to attribute the exclusion of the out-group to malicious attribution.Based on the above research, the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Whether the target of exclusion is high class or low class;Whether it's in-group membership or out-group membership, social exclusion is not justified.(2)Bystanders express anger at the source of exclusion and tend to sympathize with the target.(3)Bystanders are more inclined to attribute the exclusion of the inner group to punishment and attribute the exclusion of the outer group to malicious motives.
