In 2018,the Ministry of Education issued the Curriculum Standards for Geography in Senior High Schools,which clearly defined human-earth coordination view,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geography practice as the subject core quality of senior high school geography teaching.Thereafter,the cultivation of students' core accomplishment of geography is the most important task of high school geography teaching.Educational equity is the basic education policy of our country,and the cultivation of underachieving students of geography conforms to the concept of educational equity."Underachiever" exist in every school,this part of the students often end up by teachers gradually because of the transformation is difficult to give up,so that the great influence on its growth path.In order to promote the overall development of underachievers,the author takes the transformation strategy of geographical underachievers based on core literacy as the research topic.In this paper,literature research,interview,questionnaire survey and other methods are adopted to research and investigate the students of grade 2020 in Liao Cheng No.1Middle School of Shandong Province,aiming to analyze the causes of the formation of geography underachievers,and put forward improvement measures and strategies based on the core geography literacy.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Cause the underachiever geographic falling behind is mainly due to the geographical underachiever region comprehensive thinking and cognitive level and a view to coordinate three aspects: the core literacy and average students have bigger difference.The reasons for poor core literacy of geography are as follows:(1)The initiative of geography learning is poor and the internal driving force is insufficient;(2)Geographical study foundation weak,lack of confidence;(3)Inappropriate learning habits of geography;(4)Teachers pay less attention to the underachiever;(5)Parents not enough emphasis on the geographical science,geographical requirements is low;(6)Geography teaching equipment preparation is insufficient,geography practice activity is less.(2)Based on the above reasons,the author puts forward the corresponding measures:(1)Stimulate geography learning motivation and improve learning initiative?By creating geography learning situations,contact life actual,introduction of geography experiments method can effectively improve the students' interest in geography learning,inspire students' inner driving force;(2)Carry out low center of gravity teaching,train underachiever successful consciousness.Low center of gravity of teaching,strengthen the basic knowledge of geography,the problem from the start of the most simple,is advantageous to the underachiever gain a sense of accomplishment in learning,promote the geography study(3)Develop learning habits and optimize learning methods.Teachers guide students to develop good learning habits such as full preview,efficient listening,timely review and consolidation,learning to use maps,and improving the ability to solve geographical problems independently,which will help underachiever form a solid foundation of geography and promote the improvement of core literacy of geography.(4)Teachers pay attention to underachievers and enhance professional quality.The underachiever transformation needs long time patience to cultivate teachers,teachers in every link of practical teaching continue to pay attention to the underachiever,fully understand the learning situation of the underachiever,can have on the implementation of the measures to promote the ascension of the underachiever geographic literacy.(5)The family attached importance to geography.The cultivation of underachievers not only needs the efforts of teachers,but also needs the cooperation of parents.Parents need to change their understanding of geography,improve their understanding of its educational value,attach importance to geography and cooperate closely with teachers,so as to realize the transformation of underachievers.(6)The school improves teaching equipment and organizes geographical practice activities.Schools need to provide complete geographical teaching AIDS,ensure the implementation of geographical experiments,and organize geographical field practice during winter and summer vacations,which can effectively improve students' interest in learning geography and enhance their core literacy in geography.
