After the Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895,Shanghai presented the phenomenon of diversified cultural development,which was due to its special geographical,political and cultural characteristics.The exchange and collision between Chinese culture and Western culture promoted the formation of early modern education in China.The traditional feudal private school education began to be replaced by modern capital education.In this chaotic and multicultural Shanghai,a group of people of insight put forward the idea of "middle school as the body,Western learning for use".At this time,musicians in the music industry also appeared a new voice.After the comparison of ancient and modern music and Chinese and western music,we concluded that we should not only inherit Chinese traditional music,but also learn music theory from the west,and walk out a unique music road of our nation.Gu Xilin is one of them.She has been developing Chinese music education all her life Practice it.Since 1913,Gu Xilin has stepped into the field of music education.He has been a music teacher in many schools,such as Shanghai private Xucheng women's school,Yixing County women's higher primary school,Suzhou No.1 teachers' College,Suzhou No.2 women's normal school,Zhenjiang middle school,Hangzhou normal school,Wenzhou Normal school,national Fujian Conservatory of music and other schools,cultivating a large number of excellent music talents ? In the practice of music education,Gu Xilin has made extraordinary contributions.From the early stage of primary school music teaching method research,to the normal school music education practice and research,and then to the professional music education period,Gu Xilin has been practicing music teaching for more than 50 years.However,in the history of modern Chinese music education,due to various reasons,Gu Xilin has not been given due attention and attention.In the existing research results,it is also described from a certain aspect,and there is no systematic research.Therefore,this paper takes Gu Xilin,a Chinese music educator,as the research object,using the basic methods of musicology,such as literature analysis,case study and archives review,to restore the music educator Gu Xilin from the outside to the inside.Through the overall study of Gu Xilin,this paper gives Gu Xilin an objective evaluation and contemporary enlightenment.Finally,on the significance of Gu Xilin's music education thought and Practice for today,this paper will be based on the conclusion of the above research and analysis,combined with the current music education literature to analyze the reference significance of Gu Xilin's music education thought for the development of today's music education,and try to put forward specific measures for reference.This paper is divided into four parts: the first chapter is the introduction of life activities of the characters,mainly on Gu Xilin's way of study and teaching activities in various places,with time as the clue;the second chapter analyzes Gu Xilin's music teaching and creation activities,mainly learning music education teaching concept in childhood,music education teaching view in secondary normal school,erhu teaching,performance and community,song creation The third chapter summarizes Gu Xilin's "student-oriented,individualized teaching,using according to their aptitude,comprehending music,expressing music and teacher's ethics first" The fourth chapter,based on the contemporary perspective,interviewed three students of Gu Xilin: Mr.Wang Jiaxiang,Mr.Zhu Songling,Mr.Chen Naiquan,and Mr.Xia Yipeng,who has made great contributions to the inheritance of Gu Xilin's thought,evaluate Gu Xilin in in history from the latest perspective,and discuss the influence of Gu Xilin on music education in later generations And the Enlightenment from it.
