Professional literature reading is the basis for postgraduates to carry out scientific research.Relevant studies show that the evaluation of literature reading satisfaction of postgraduates majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences is general.A few existing studies mainly adopt a single empirical method to explore the literature reading behavior of a specific discipline,but there is no literature reading in the whole field of Humanities and Social Sciences.Therefore,to obtain the basic characteristics and laws of the professional literature reading behavior of postgraduates in the Humanities and Social Sciences,and to effectively improve the reading effect has become a research problem with theoretical value and practical significance.In this study,40 postgraduates majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences were selected as the research objects,and explores the reading behavior of the literature through the combination of experimental test and questionnaire investigation.The specific research process is as follows: First,fill in the pre-test questionnaire before the experimental test to understand their habit and subjective perception of professional literature reading.Then,the eye movement experiment was carried out,through exploratory experimental research,focusing on literature reading behavior,and collecting data such as gaze time,gaze frequency,gaze frequency,gaze trajectory map,gaze heat map,reading speed,etc.obtained in the experiment.After reading,the subjects will state the main contents of the literature and evaluate the reading effect by professional teachers.After the experiment,the data were analyzed through Tobii,SPSS and other software to understand the literature reading behavior,characteristics and rules of the subjects.Finally,based on the reading behavior of five postgraduates with the best reading effect,the paper constructs the literature reading mode of master degree students majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences,and puts forward suggestions for reading professional literature,so as to improve the reading effect of postgraduates through the improvement of reading behavior and way.The results show that there are no statistically significant differences in reading speed,fixation times and reading comprehension scores among postgraduates of the four major disciplines of Humanities and Social Sciences are different in reading professional literature.Therefore,comprehensive analysis can be carried out in reading pattern extraction and follow-up research without being confined to a single discipline.Then,the study puts forward the reading mode of "Title—Abstract—Directory Structure—Main Text—Directory Structure—Abstract—Quick Scanning of Main Text ",which not only has common features with the traditional top-down sequential reading,but also adds new modules,which can improve the problem of insufficient memory under the traditional reading mode and further enhance the reading effect of postgraduate in the Humanities and Social Sciences.Finally,the research puts forward five countermeasures: one is to give priority to electronic literature for professional reading,the other is to optimize and adjust the reading sequence of internal units of the literature,the third is to focus on the support of the directory structure for reading,and the fourth is to rationally avoid all kinds of inefficient literature reading behavior,fifth is reasonable concern about the reading of English abstract content.
