The Chinese government has put forward the development concept of “the Belt and Road”.This concept is based on the splendid history of the ancient Silk Road for hundreds of years.It has increased communication among countries in the world,and promoted our country's connection and strengthened our regional knowledge with the world.In the context of the increasingly connected world as a “community of destiny”,countries wanting to achieve better development must be based on understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the countries of the world.Since the research content of geography is consistent with the geographical meaning produced by the concept of “the Belt and Road”,the teaching of geography in middle school undertakes the important task of implementing the development concept of “the Belt and Road” and cultivating regional cognition.After the reform of the new curriculum in 2017,the standards of the new curriculum also put forward the overall goal of implementing the fundamental tasks of the training excellent talents through the cultivation of core literacy in the geography discipline.The standard incorporates regional cognition into the core literacy of the geography discipline.Therefore,it is of great significance to cultivate students' regional cognitive literacy under the guidance of “the Belt and Road” concept.Based on the importance of cultivating regional cognition as the core literacy of geography in high school geography teaching process,as well as the training requirements for “the Belt and Road” and regional cognition in the latest geography curriculum standards,combined with the current state of international research,this paper studies the cultivation of regional cognitive literacy for high school students in the context of “the Belt and Road” initiative.After consulting a large number of related materials,this article defines the concepts of “the Belt and Road” and regional cognition,and analyzes the components and connotation of regional cognitive literacy,and then determines the theoretical support of the thesis research.Then,this paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of studying the regional cognitive literacy of high school students in the context of “the Belt and Road”,and conducts a questionnaire survey on a certain number of high school students in Xi'an and Fuzhou,and discusses the level of knowledge and regional cognition of high school students in different regions about “the Belt and Road”.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the research results,this article clarifies the current problems and proposes relevant training strategies.This article designs teaching cases in combination with training strategies.By putting teaching cases into teaching practice,this paper finds that students' regional cognitive ability has been improved,and the teaching effect is excellent.
