Embodiment And Infiltration Of Mathematics Thought And Methods In Junior Middle School Mathematics Teaching

The purpose of the eighth curriculum reform of new China(commonly known as the new curriculum reform)is to build a basic education curriculum system in line with the requirements of education for all-around development in the 21 st century.As far as mathematics education is concerned,the primary goal of the education is to develop students’ rational spirit and mathematical core literacy.This requires mathematics educators to pay attention to the cultivation of the students’ mathematics thought and the infiltration of mathematics thought and methods during mathematics teaching.Also,mathematics educators should be able to achieve the infiltration well in an appropriate way.The importance and necessity to infiltrate mathematical thoughts and methods during math education in junior middle school is demonstrated in this paper.Thought,mathematics thought and the basic mathematical thought often appearing in math education in junior middle school are explained.Some principles and strategies of mathematical thoughts infiltration during math education in junior middle school are put forward.The status of mathematical thoughts infiltration during math education in junior middle school is investigated in the school which I work in.Combined with the survey results and the author’s teaching practice,this paper puts forward some suggestions for teachers to improve their own quality and cultivate students’ mathematical thinking.
