In recent years,with the further development of research travel and the advancement of education reform,geography as a comprehensive discipline,it is necessary to study the possibility of its relationship with research travel.On the one hand can promote the reform of geography teaching,on the other hand is more conducive to the development of students' core literacy.At present,the study of research travel abroad is quite mature,but the study at home still has a long way to go.This article uses the questionnaire survey method and the interview method to carry on the investigation to the Taiyuan City Middle School student,the geography teacher.It is found that the number of research trips and geographic study trips in Taiyuan is limited,and the students do not have enough knowledge of research trips,but they are interested in them At present,the main factors that hinder the development of geographic research travel are the educational system for examination,the security factors,the cost factors and the large number of students,which makes it difficult to guarantee the effect,in order to improve the learning effect of the students in the research and study activities,the teachers suggested that we should control the students in all aspects,and at the same time,we should pay attention to the study conditions and start from the students' interests.Based on the results of the survey,the author makes a thorough analysis of the requirements of the urban geography textbooks and curriculum standards,and studies the mode of urban geography research trip,the process of research and study includes three stages: preparation,activity,achievement display and evaluation.At the level of the design program,the Urban Geography Research Travel Program should focus on the teaching requirements of the content of the teaching materials and the curriculum standards for urban geography;the content theme should combine the attributes of the city and cover all aspects of the city,such as nature,humanities,economy,etc.,the selection of scenic spots should refer to the excellent tourism resources of the city and combine with the daily life of the students.Taking Taiyuan as an example,this paper sorts out the tourism resources suitable for the study of urban geography in Taiyuan,and gives some suggestions for the development of the study of urban geography.Based on the objective of urban geography course,two study tours,"expansion and development of Taiyuan's main city area" and "cultural tour of the three Jin dynasties",are designed.Based on the reflection and summary of the scheme,the improvement measures are given.The purpose of this paper is to explore the application of research travel in the teaching of urban geography,taking Taiyuan as an example,and to provide reference for the application of research travel in the teaching of urban geography.It can arouse more industry scholars' thinking,continuously improve the curriculum of urban geography research in Taiyuan,and deepen the research on the travel paradigm of Urban Geography Research.
