The core literacy of mathematical modeling occupies a place in the six core literacy established in the new curriculum standard,which runs through the four main lines of the three types of courses.Obviously,this is tantamount to declaring the importance of mathematical modeling literacy for future mathematics learning.And mathematical modeling is one of the forms for students to develop mathematical application literacy,which is of great significance for students in the new era to improve their four abilities.Because the derivative application problem has a certain compatibility with the mathematical modeling process,this research uses the application of the derivative as a carrier to carefully design the "Mathematical Modeling Literacy Test Paper" and "Mathematical Modeling Literacy Awareness Questionnaire",and finally The modeling literacy level test was carried out on the third grade students of a middle school in Zhangzhou City,and SPSS25.0was used to quantitatively analyze the obtained data,Research indicates:1.The overall level of students’ mathematical modeling literacy is poor,and students have a certain understanding of mathematical modeling literacy,but the cognitive situation needs to be further improved.2.There is no significant difference between males and females in mathematical modeling literacy levels 1 and 3,and there are significant differences between males and females at level 2,but the overall mathematical modeling literacy levels show significant differences in gender;From the perspective of men’s and girls’ perceptions of mathematical modeling literacy,in terms of knowledge,abilities,and emotional attitudes,Male and female students showed significant differences in ability dimension and emotional attitude dimension,while students’ overall recognition of mathematical modeling literacy Knowing the situation also showed significant differences in gender.3.There is a significant difference in the level of students’ mathematical modeling literacy in the class;from the perspective of the students’ cognition of mathematical modeling literacy,the two dimensions of knowledge and ability have significant differences in the class,and their cognition There are also significant differences in the situation in the class;there is indeed a correlation between the level of students’ mathematical modeling literacy and their cognitive status.Based on the above research results,combined with the results of interviews with frontline teachers,the following teaching suggestions are put forward: carry out mathematical modeling and inquiry activities teaching;comprehensively consider gender differences in mathematical modeling teaching;develop higher-level mathematical modeling literacy of students;derivative application Teaching focuses on situational teaching;develops teaching materials and mathematical modeling cases in the new curriculum standard.
