Physical literacy has become a hot research topic in the field of physical education in recent years,and our country has also issued corresponding policies to improve the development requirements of students' physical literacy.However,the level of physical education teachers' physical literacy has an important influence in the process of improving and developing students' physical education literacy.Therefore,this study aims to clarifies the relevant research progress of physical literacy evaluation at home and abroad,introduces the English version of Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument(PPLI)developed by Hong Kong scholars,and discusses its reliability and validity in the evaluation of physical education teachers' perception of physical education in primary and secondary schools in Chinese mainland.The revised Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument for Physical Education Teachers(PPLIPET),which is applicable to Chinese mainland area,is applied to explore the level and characteristics of physical education teachers' physical literacy perception in primary and secondary schools in Chinese mainland area.Firstly,this study summarizes the research progress of physical literacy and physical literacy evaluation tools at home and abroad by using the method of literature review,which lays a theoretical foundation for the revision of the instrument.Secondly,by adopting the method of expert consultation and questionnaire survey,the physical education teachers' physical education literacy perception instrument is scientifically introduced,which is in line with Chinese mainland's language expression,understanding habits and social and cultural background.Through the investigation of 429 physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Chinese mainland,the reliability and validity of the instrument were tested,and finally a revised version of the Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument for Physical Education Teachers with good reliability and validity was formed on this basis,407 primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Chinese mainland were investigated by using the instrument,and the overall situation and variable differences of physical education literacy perception level of primary and secondary school physical education teachers in Chinese mainland were understood Finally,the comprehensive research contents are summarized.Studies have shown that:1.The revised Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument for Physical Education Teachers(PPLIPET)has good reliability and validity,meets psychometric standards,and can be used to evaluate the Perceived Physical Literacy Instrument for Physical Education Teachers in Chinese mainland.The instrument contains four dimensions and15 items,namely "knowledge and understanding"(5 items),"sports morality"(4items),"physical ability"(3 items)and "health perception"(3 items).2.The preliminary application of PPLIPET in Chinese mainland shows that the overall level of physical education teachers' perception of physical literacy is high,but the development of four dimensions is uneven.Among them,"knowledge and understanding" and "sports morality" are of higher level,while "physical ability" and "health perception" are of lower level.There is no significant difference in physical education teachers' perception level in identity,gender and teaching years,but there are significant differences in ethnic group,educational background,professional title,monthly income,marital status,school location and school nature.Further analysis shows that the higher the level of each variable,the higher the perception level of physical education teachers' physical literacy.3.At present,China's physical literacy research is in the initial stage.It is suggested that the research and development of physical literacy evaluation tools should be strengthened on the basis of learning from overseas experience,so as to further enrich the theoretical and practical research in the field of physical literacy in China.In the future,to further promote the development of physical education teachers' physical literacy level,it is suggested that based on the evaluation results of scientific measurement tools and referring to various influencing factors,specific and specific intervention measures should be put forward for the problems faced by physical education teachers.
