Research purpose: Physical Literacy can be envisioned as the child’s capability for a healthy active lifestyle. At present, at home and abroad are research The Assessment of Physical Literacy actively. In this paper, we use the methods of literature, experiment and mathematical statistics to determine The Assessment of Physical Literacy for children in grades 4 to 6(8 to 12 years), and according to the system to measure the Physical Literacy of children in grades 4 to 6.Research methods : Using the literature, translation of the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy; the correlation test is used to verify the retest reliability of the index; the structural validity of the evaluation index system was verified by factor analysis. Sample selected from Nanjing Golden City primary school 4-6 grade, each grade male and female students 35 people, total of 210 people. The results showed that first, Physical literacy refers to the level of cultivation of sports that can improve the physical and mental health and the quality of life through the training of sports activities and sports training. Children and adolescents physical literacy including motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior. This assessment has these characteristics of the comprehensive, easy to operate, and consistency with school sports thought, the specificity of the characteristics of the group.Second, the kappa coefficient value of indicators in the questionnaire is 0.44, the highest is 0.84, average is 0.64, which indicated that the assessment of PL after translation has higher reliability. In relevance test of physical competence, the correlation coefficient of each index is greater than 0.6,indicating that the physical competence measurement indicators have a better reliability.Third, in the Validity test we extract six common factors which accumulated contribution rate of 65.3%. We can name the six factors according to the factor class of the explanation: motives and confidence, sensitive items, endurance projects, knowledge, grip, daily behavior. endurance projects, grip can be attributed to a class that is physical competence. So that we can eventually divide it into four main factors:motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior.Fourth, the fourth grade boys’ mean values of motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior were 12.4±2.5,17±1.6,10.4±2.1,15.5±5.9,the fourth grade girls’ mean values of motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior were 11.9±2.0、17.5±2.7、10.8±1.7.16.3±6.2. The fifth grade boys’ mean values of motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior were 12.8±1.5,16.5±1.6,10.2±1.6,17.3±6.0,the fifth grade girls’ mean values of motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior were 12.9±2.1,17.7±2.5,10.7±1.8,18.0±6.6. The sixth grade boys’ mean values of motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior were 12.2±2.0,17.4±2.3,10.8±1.7,17.1±6.7, the sixth grade girls’ mean values of motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior were 11.1±2.4,19.8±1.8,10.9±2.1,20.4±6.6. The fourth grade boys’ mean values of PL were 55.2±7.8,girls’ were 56.6±7.6. The fifth grade boys’ mean values of PL were 56.7±6.9, girls’ were 59.2±9.4. The sixth grade boys’mean values of PL were 57.6±7.8,girls’ were 62.1±7.8.Conclusions:First, Children and adolescents physical literacy including motivation and confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding, daily behavior. The assessment system has good readability after being translated and modified, the reliability and validity of the assessment of PL of the senior high school students are higher, the assessment system can be used.Second, there are some differences in the dimensions of boys and girls in different grades. Girls were higher than those of boys in knowledge and understanding, daily behavior. But, boys’ motivation and confidence were higher than girls. On the overall level, although the girls’ CAPL is higher than boys, but belong to the progressing level, and lagged behind that of developed countries, particularly in terms of physical competence and physical knowledge and understanding.
