At present,globalization aggravates the crisis of national identity.Improving the public's national identity is the need of building a harmonious society.Primary school is a critical period for the development of individual national identity.Strengthening the national identity education of primary school students is conducive to the shaping of their personality.The research on the status and cultivation strategies of national identity of senior students in rural primary schools is helpful to enrich research results in relevant fields such as national identity and primary education,provide theoretical inspiration for national identity education of rural primary students,and improve the effectiveness of national identity education for primary students.This research adopts the research tool Questionnaire on National Identity of Senior Primary School Students,and selects senior rural public primary school students in X Town,Jinghai District,Tianjin to conduct a survey.The survey includes five aspects:national identity,Chinese history identity,Chinese traditional culture identity,political system identity and national capacity identity.The results show that: first,the national identity of senior students in primary schools is at a high level.Second,there are significant differences between the only-child and non-only-child in the identity of Chinese traditional culture.Third,there are significant differences in the identity of Chinese traditional culture,political system and national capacity among pupils who are in Grade Five and Grade Six.Fourth,there are significant differences in Chinese historical identity between primary school students with different educational backgrounds of their fathers and mothers.The reasons for the above state of national identity of senior primary school students mainly include the following aspects: First,the school actively promotes the patriotic education of senior primary school students and enhances the national identity of students.Second,the intuitive feeling of social progress and the positive role of rural grassroots organizations have enhanced the national identity of senior students in rural primary schools.Third,parents' knowledge level,family values and family education mode have a great impact on the national identity of senior students in rural primary schools,which makes the national identity of primary students in different family environments different.In order to further improve the level of national identity of primary school students,rural primary schools should strengthen political identity education,cultural identity education;Parents should set up the behavior model and create the family atmosphere of national identity,and integrate the cultivation of national identity into family life.The society should strengthen the construction of patriotic education base by giving play to the education function of national identity of rural grassroots organizations,giving play to the positive guiding role of mass media.
