A Study On The Word Selection Of The Chinese Primary Edition And Chinese Junior Edition

With the help of "Chinese teaching assistant" and ICTCLAS softwares and Excel technology,this paper analyzes the number,grade,difficulty and commonly used degree of new words in the primary school edition(revised,omitted below)and the junior high school edition of "Chinese",and studies the characteristics of lexical connection in the primary and junior high school editions,we found that:1.There is a big gap between the vocabulary of primary and junior Chinese textbooks(excluding reading)and that of researchers' electronic textbooks based on software analysis.There are 2662 in the vocabulary of textbooks and 8055 in the actual vocabulary of researchers.The proportion of the two is as high as 1:3.5.2.Based on the researcher's vocabulary,it is found that there are 5257 new words in the primary school edition of the Chinese,with an average of 438 new words in each volume,showing a gradual upward trend in general and a good development trend.Among them,the third volume,the fifth volume and the tenth volume of the textbook are not well controlled,and there are too many new words.Taking volume as the unit,we can see that the difficulty of new words is also on the rise.The emergence of new words in each volume generally presents the order of easy first and difficult later,and the grade distribution is reasonable;however,the number of new words in volumes 9 to 12 is too large,and there are too many words outside the outline,and the difficulty is too large.It is found that there are 144 lessons in the whole book,with an average of 36.5 in each lesson.Through sampling survey,it is found that the arrangement of new words is unreasonable,the distribution of new words is uneven,and the difficulty span of new words is large.3.Also based on the researcher's vocabulary,it is found that there are 2798 new words in junior high school edition of Chinese(excluding the new words in primary school edition),with an average of 466 in each volume and 38.86 in each lesson.In terms of the number of new words,the number of new words in each volume in junior high school edition has increased compared with that in primary school edition,but the growth trend of the number of new words in each volume is not well controlled,especially in the third and fourth volumes,the number of new words does not increase but decreases.In terms of difficulty,the junior high school edition is not as well controlled as the primary school edition,the difficulty trend is not increasing regularly,and the coverage of vocabulary at all levels does not follow the rule of "easy first,then difficult";among them,the difficulty control of Volume III and Volume IV of junior high school edition is not good,and the difficulty value is low.Through sampling analysis,the number of words in each class in junior high school is not evenly distributed,and the difficulty span of each lesson is large.4.Also based on the researcher's vocabulary,it is found that no matter from the perspective of the number of new words or the difficulty of new words,the primary and junior high school edition of Chinese are not properly connected,and the number and difficulty of new words in junior high school edition are suddenly reduced,which is not conducive to students' continuous learning.5.Based on the above research,we put forward the following suggestions for revision:focus on the selection of the priority words that should appear in this stage to reduce the vocabulary out of class;for the Chinese primary school edition,try to cover class A and class B words,and most class C words;for the Chinese junior high school edition,try to cover class D words by analogy.At the same time,we should appropriately reduce the number and difficulty of new words in volumes 9 to 12 of the primary school edition,reasonably increase the number and difficulty of new words in each volume of junior high school,and appropriately adjust the positions of each lesson and volume,so as to make them show a reasonable growth trend as far as possible.
