No matter from the primary school students'mathematics learning characteristics,or from the thinking development of primary school students,the third grade is undoubtedly an important turning point.At this turning point,the interest of many students in mathematics has been greatly reduced.So how to improve the third-grade students'interest in mathematics learning has become a topic that many teachers pay attention to.There are many ways to increase pupils'interest in mathematics,such as telling stories,playing games,using multi-media and so on.In so many ways,all have a common characteristic,is to use intuitive to help students understand mathematical problems,thus improving students'interest in mathematics.There are many mathematical ideas and methods,among which the idea of the combination of numbers and figures is the idea of using intuitive figures to help students understand mathematical knowledge.After consulting the materials,we know that the thought of combination of numbers and shapes is a kind of thinking method to solve mathematical problems by using the corresponding relationship between numbers and shapes and their mutual transformation.Numbers and shapes are both opposite and unified.Under certain conditions,they can be transformed into each other.The purpose of this paper is to study the application of the thought of number-shape combination in the third grade of primary school,and to sum up the methods of improving pupils'interest in mathematics by consulting various kinds of literature,and to accumulate the cases of improving pupils'interest in mathematics by the thought of number-shape combination.On this basis,through the questionnaire survey,5 students who are interested in learning mathematics are selected,and the case study of these 5 students is carried out.Through a case study,it is found that students'interest in learning mathematics is slightly increased after using the idea of number and shape to understand mathematics knowledge.Due to various reasons,there is no obvious difference between students'interest in learning mathematics before and after tutoring,this study has accumulated a lot of experience.
