Ju County “Guomenjian” Art In High School Art Teaching Exploration

“Guomenjian”,one of the paper cutting form of fork art,began its history from the ages of agricultural civilization.It carries profound cultural connotations,for it is not only the art form that reflects the real life style,local culture and customs and social networks of the ordinary people,but also can embody the moral ethic and religious beliefs of the Chinese nation.Introducing "Guomenjian”,the traditional skill of paper cutting with local characteristics into Ju county where is in Rizhao,Shandong province,has multiple benefits.For one hand,it is conduced the students to be exposed in the special culture so that they can exercise the ability of aesthetic appreciation of art,and enhance their cultural identity.On the another,it is beneficial for establishing a more comprehensive local teaching system.Considering these benefits,this paper is conducted and collected its data through field research.The studying method applied in this paper are questionnaires and observation.There are two main purpose of this study.The first one is analyzing the history of the paper cutting of "Guomenjian".While the second one is to explore and establish a viable teaching method.This study can be divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which gives the background,the research method as well as the practical significance of this study.The second part is the overview of the development of the art courses in Ju county,which delivers both the history of the paper cutting of Guomenjian and also the significance of adding it to the art curriculum.The third part analyzes the feasibility of adding it to the art curriculum based on the current teaching situation of the art classes in high schools in Ju county.The forth part is the practice research,which combines the author's experience of teaching in Juxian No.2 Middle School,giving the solutions to the problems and difficulties encountered when teaching Guomenjian on art classes.The last part is the conclusion,which gives the viable advise of adding Guomenjian to the art curriculum in Ju county.
