| When graduates make job choices,this phenomenon is very common-even in the same college and the same major,there will be different tendencies when they make job choices.We often say “Birds of the same kind live together.” The difference of job choice type is also the difference of different personality characteristics.Personality characteristics will be reflected in the choice of employment,which reflects the professional character.People with different professional personalities adapt to different working environment and characteristics,so they will have different performance.Under the action of the same fire,butter will be melted by fire,and eggs will accept the action of fire and mature.In the case of high matching degree between personality characteristics and job types,individuals will have a higher sense of self-efficacy,and their personal development will be positively affected.There are many factors that affect the individual’s job choice,but the most essential and profound factor is his personality.Under the influence of COVID-19 in 2020,job hunting for graduates has become a difficult and hot topic in today’s society.Graduates’ gender role,career self-efficacy and job choice tendency are closely related to their employment.The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between graduates’ gender role,career self-efficacy and job choice tendency.The significance of this study can be summarized from two aspects: first,for graduates,this study encourages graduates to better determine their gender role characteristics earlier,abandon the inherent thinking of individual personality,broaden the cognitive boundary of different types of work,so as to be more effective.Second,for enterprises,this study found that the gender role in corporate culture should match the gender role of employees,which has a positive effect on the enterprise itself and employees.By means of questionnaire survey and testing 241 graduates,this study uses the gender role scale,career self-efficacy scale and work tendency scale as research tools to investigate the relationship between gender role,career self-efficacy and work choice tendency of graduates.The results show that:1.The gender roles of graduates are diversified as a whole,and the number of graduates with androgynous gender roles is the most.This shows that a single gender role is becoming a thing of the past.Only comprehensive talents and all-round people can have a better foothold in the society.2.The top three job types of graduates are Social type,Conventional type and Enterprising type.3.In the sense of professional self-efficacy,men scored higher in the sense of traditional men’s professional self-efficacy,and the top three were leaders of Party and government organs,engineers and economists.In traditional female career,the score of self-efficacy is higher,and the top three are secretary,primary school teacher and psychological counselor.4.In the relationship between gender role and job choice tendency,masculine gender role is significantly correlated with Realistic and Investigative work,while feminine gender role is significantly correlated with Social work.It is further found that male graduates are more likely to choose realistic and investigative jobs,while those with androgynous gender roles are more likely to choose artistic,social and enterprising oriented jobs.In terms of the relationship between gender and job choice tendency,the study finds that there are significant differences between male and female graduates in Realistic and Investigative jobs,and boys are more inclined to choose realistic and investigative jobs;there are significant differences between male and female graduates in artistic jobs,and girls are more inclined to artistic jobs.5.In the relationship between gender role and career self-efficacy,people with different gender roles have different career self-efficacy in traditional men and traditional women.In the traditional male occupation,there are significant differences between male and female gender roles.Androgyny,feminization and undifferentiated groups are different,that is,androgyny have higherefficacy in traditional male occupations;androgyny group also has higher efficacy in traditional female occupations.6.On the relationship between gender role,career self-efficacy and job choice tendency,the conclusion shows that there is a significant interaction between gender role and career self-efficacy on male job choice tendency.After the hierarchical regression analysis,we found that the correlation between gender role and job choice tendency was significantly strengthened under the effect of professional self-efficacy.When male graduates choose realistic and investigative jobs,they will be significantly affected by traditional male career efficacy. |
