Critical thinking has been paid more and more attention by education circles at home and abroad.The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)clearly requires the development of critical thinking of students.The high school stage is the key period to cultivate students' critical thinking,and the teaching course of essay reading is an effective way to cultivate students' critical thinking.lt is of great practical significance to train students' critical thinking in the teaching of argumentation reading in senior high school.First of all,this paper differentiates the meaning of critical thinking,and clarifies the cultivation elements and thinking process of critical thinking in different dimensions and specific thinking modes.The cultivation factors of critical thinking can be divided into habits and cognitive skills.The habits level includes 12 life habits and 8 problem solving habits,and the cognitive skills level includes 6 main cognitive skills.The thought pattern consists of eight stages of thought.On this basis,the boundary between critical thinking and other related thinking is further clarified.Critical thinking is also called critical thinking,innovative thinking is the upper concept of critical thinking,logical thinking and critical thinking are the same,but different.Secondly,it summarizes the problems in developing students' critical thinking in the teaching of argumentation reading in high school,and analyzes the reasons.The main problems in the teaching of high school essay reading in cultivating students' critical thinking lie in the teachers' educational concepts and training methods,which do not pay attention to the cultivation of critical thinking,have misunderstanding of critical thinking,do not carefully choose the logical teaching points,do not coordinate the language and logic,and do not pay attention to the invisible training.The causes of these problems are improper teaching of argumentative essays,not deep learning of argumentative essays and lack of evaluation of argumentative essays teaching.Then it analyzes the necessity and feasibility of cultivating students' critical thinking in the teaching of argumentation reading in high school.Cultivating students' critical thinking is the requirement of Chinese curriculum standards,the requirement of students'thinking development,and the requirement of reform of argum-reading teaching.The selection of teaching materials and stylistic features of essay make it feasible to train students' critical thinking in the teaching of essay reading in senior high school.Finally,under the precondition of consulting a large number of cases and lesson plans,based on the actual case,summed up the essays in high school reading teaching,training students' critical thinking and effective strategy in the process of essays and consider high school,the teaching of reading and to evaluate the breakdown to solve the aim at training students' critical thinking essays problems in reading teaching.
