With the intensification of the new round of educational reform,a variety of teaching modes have emerged, among which BOPPPS teaching mode is one.BOPPPS teaching model originated from Canada, including six links:introduction.learning objectives,pre-test,participatory learning,post-test and summary. The main teaching philosophy is student-centered and teachers only play a guiding role.Peer-to-peer learning refers to a learning activity in which partners match each other, support and help each other, and thus acquire knowledge and skills. This is a teaching idea advocated in middle school teaching nowadays.Through searching literature,it is found that although BOPPPS teaching mode and peer-to-peer learning method are relatively mature, few people apply the two teaching methods to middle school chemistry teaching for practical research.Through reading the relevant literature, the contents of BOPPS teaching mode and peer-to-peer learning at home and abroad are sorted out and analyzed, and the current situation of education is known. It is found that BOPPS teaching mode and peer-to-peer learning are a teaching mode that meets the requirements of the times, the new curriculum reform and the development needs of students. In this process, students' cooperative awareness and scientific inquiry ability can be improved, and their core chemistry literacy can be improved. Therefore, the peer-to-peer learning method under BOPPS teaching mode is applied to middle school chemistry teaching for practical research.Firstly, the concepts, characteristics and specific contents of BOPPPS teaching mode and peer-to-peer learning are combed, and the purpose and significance of this study are expounded.Based on constructivism theory, behaviorism theory, zone of proximal development theory and cooperative learning theory, the application status of BOPPS teaching mode and peer-to-peer learning method in middle school chemistry is investigated by questionnaire. The survey object is a chemistry teacher from a middle school in Changwu County.Xianyang.Shaanxi Province. This paper mainly investigates teachers' understanding of peer-to-peer learning method under BOPPPS teaching mode, teaching methods of ordinary chemistry classes and their attitude towards integrating peer-to-peer learning method into classroom, and then carries out teaching design under this teaching mode, selecting three contents of "oxidation-reduction reaction","metal sodium and its compounds" and "the protagonist of inorganic nonmetal materials-silicon" for teaching design, which should mainly highlight "teaching reflection"Then, two parallel classes are selected as the research objects, one is the control class and the other is the experimental class. Before practice, students' problems in learning chemistry and their expectation of classroom mode are analyzed by questionnaire and interview. After practice, students in the experimental class are investigated by questionnaire and interview to understand the changes of students' attitude towards chemistry learning. The results show that the peer-to-peer learning method in BOPPPS teaching mode is more popular with students, which can stimulate students' interest in learning and improve students' ability of communication, cooperation and team assistance,so this teaching mode is very suitable for chemistry class. Finally, the author puts forward the shortcomings in this study and points out the problems that need further improvement in the future.
