The pre-Qin history is characterized by long history and complex contents.Through investigation, the author found that some middle school teachers still faced many difficulties in the teaching process of pre-Qin history. The 2017 edition of the history curriculum standard for regular high schools states that students should enhance their identity with the Chinese nation.China has a splendid history and culture of more than 5,000 years. There is a long history of the founding and establishment of a unified multi-ethnic country. As an important period of the emergence and development of a unified multi-ethnic country, the history of pre-Qin Dynasty is beneficial to enhance students' understanding of the unified multi-ethnic country and promote history teaching in senior high schools by combing its historical development context. The Pre-Qin period experienced the process from the emergence of early states to the establishment of a unified multi-ethnic state. In the Xia and Shang dynasties, under the internal and external service system, the Kings of Xia and Shang were Allies of many states, which were independent or semi-independent cities and small states. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, the system of combining patriarchal clan system with enfeolment system was established, which formed a more stable and solid relationship between the emperor and the vassals, and the king of Zhou became the co-lord of the world, thus strengthening the process of unification. However, the patriarchal system was characterized by the contradiction between unity and independence, and the Western Zhou Dynasty was still a low-level unity.During the reform and reform of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the patriarchal clan system with blood ties tended to collapse, and a new trend of centralized unity was born in the power of the princes, forming regional powers such as the Five Hegemons in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Seven Hegemons in the Warring States Period. The Huaxia nation was also gradually formed at this time.In the end,Qin Shihuang unified the six states, implemented the system of prefectures and counties and the system of salaries, and established the first unified multi-ethnic centralized autocratic state in Chinese history, thus completing the unification at a higher level. This paper consists of introduction and three sections. The introduction consists of five aspects, namely, the source of the topic, the review of the research status, the theoretical basis, the significance and method of the research, and the innovation. The first section is the analysis of teacher interview and student questionnaire, including the design description of teacher interview, the design description of the student questionnaire, the analysis of the teacher interview and the student questionnaire. The purpose of these work is to make clear the teaching problems and difficulties in the teaching process of pre Qin history through investigation, and set up the target for the next research. In view of the teaching problems and difficulties in the first chapter, the second section tries to comb the knowledge vein of pre-Qin history in detail from the perspective of the development of a unified multi-ethnic state,so as to better connect the content of pre-Qin history in high school with the establishment of a unified multi-ethnic feudal state by Qin Shihuang. The third section is based on the previous research experience, puts forward teaching strategies and takes the second courses of the United edition textbooks as an example to do a good teaching design, trying to combine academic research with teaching practice.
