A Comparative Study Of Physics Textbooks In Senior High Schools Based On The Core Literacy Of Physics

In recent years,the Ministry of Education has summarized the valuable experience of curriculum reform since the 21 st century,revised and promulgated the Physics Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the New Curriculum Standards).A major change of the new curriculum standard is to refine the core quality of the subject based on the nature of each subject and establish an internal connection with the course teaching.Under this background,the core accomplishment of high school physics comes into being.In order to promote the implementation of educational policies,the 2019 edition of textbooks published by various publishing houses under the guidance of the new curriculum standards has been put into use.It is of great significance to clarify the penetration of the core literacy of physics in the textbooks and to help teachers and students properly understand and use the new textbooks.In this paper,according to the new curriculum standard,the vibration and wave parts in the four editions of high school physics textbooks which are highly recognized in China are selected as the research objects,and the differences and relations between the four editions of textbooks are found out by comparative study from the aspects of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis.Quantitative comparison is to determine the appropriate analysis units of the four editions of textbooks respectively,conduct objective comparison and analysis of the penetration strength of each element of the core physical literacy according to the unified analysis standard,and draw the following conclusions:(1)In each edition of the core quality of physics,sports view,model construction,problems,the nature of science and other elements appear in the most frequent proportion,rich content,reflecting the importance of these elements in all textbooks.(2)The frequency of elements such as energy view,questioning and innovation,interpretation,and social responsibility in the core literacy of physics discipline in all textbooks is relatively low,so the proportion of these elements should be adjusted appropriately on the whole.(3)People's Education Edition and Shanghai Science Edition pay more attention to the content design of problem elements,Luke Edition pays more attention to the cultivation of scientific demonstration elements of students' scientific thinking,and Guangdong Education Edition pays more attention to the explanatory elements and experimental norms of scientific inquiry.(4)Compared with other versions,Shandong Science and Technology version and PEP version pay more attention to scientific demonstration and questioning innovative elements in scientific thinking,which is reflected in the experiment design and reflection.The qualitative comparison shows that :(1)physical knowledge is the basis for the formation of physical concepts,and chapter setting paves the way for the reasonable arrangement of physical knowledge.There are differences in the number and title of chapters and the expression and choice of important knowledge points in different editions.(2)The PEP version presents more question elements of scientific inquiry and adopts "blank space" design to emphasize students' independent design ability,while other versions are standardized in experimental operation and report narration,which is conducive to the formation of students' rigorous writing habits.(3)In terms of exploratory and demonstration experiments,PEP and Shanghai Science Edition have more numbers than other versions.In terms of verification experiments,each version has fewer Settings considering the limited textbook capacity.(4)Different versions have different columns for the setting of scientific methods,such as "scientific method" and "annotation",but they all play the role of necessary prompts and help students to form scientific thinking when exploring physical problems.Finally,according to the research results,the author puts forward some suggestions on students' learning,teachers' teaching and the compilation of textbooks for reference.
