At present,most areas of our country have the problem of connecting geography teaching between junior and senior high schools.Under the background of the junior high school level examination,the junior high school geography exam will no longer continue to offer geography courses after the completion of the junior high school geography exam,forming a “blank period”in geography teaching.High school physical geography knowledge is difficult and theoretical,and requires students to have high geographic skills and geographic thinking.The poor junior high school geography will inevitably have a certain negative impact on the students' high school physical geography learning effect.Therefore,studying the connection of physical geography knowledge teaching between junior and senior high schools is conducive to the improvement of senior geography teaching quality,the formation of geography literacy of middle school students,and the sound development of geography education in junior and senior high schools.First of all,through combing the existing research on the connection of geography teaching between junior and senior high schools,and establishing the research ideas for the teaching cohesion strategy of physical geography knowledge in junior and senior high schools,based on the theoretical basis of system theory,constructivist learning theory,and recent development area theory,Concepts such as the connection of geographical knowledge teaching are defined.Secondly,from the two aspects of curriculum standards and textbooks,it compares and analyzes the physical geography knowledge of junior and senior high schools,clarifies the differences and connections between the two stages of junior and senior high schools,and analyzes the high school students' transition from junior high school through questionnaire surveys and interviews.After entering high school,the learning adaptation status of physical geography knowledge and the current status of teachers' teaching cohesion.The results show that in the teaching of physical geography knowledge in junior and senior high schools,students mainly have problems such as poor junior high school geography,improper geography learning habits and methods,and too strong dependence on teachers;teachers mainly have lack of communication between teachers and students,junior high school geography Teachers lack of communication and lack of understanding of the junction of physical geography knowledge in junior and senior high schools.Finally,try to put forward countermeasures to promote the smooth connection of physical geography knowledge between junior and senior high schools,as follows: first,correctly understand the status of junior high school physical geography;second,strengthen teacher exchanges and teacher-student exchanges;third,use junior high school maps to cultivate students' skills Picture-reading ability;fourth,focus on problem research and cultivate students' practical inquiry ability;fifth,build mind maps to cultivate students' logical thinking ability;sixth,create life-oriented problem situations to stimulate students' interest in learning;seventh,focus on Study the curriculum standards and teaching materials,and rationally design the teaching content.
