With the continuous escalation of the Chinese fever,the communications on culture and education between China and Tanzania have been deepened.The number of middle schools radiated by Confucius Institutes is gradually increasing,so as middle school students who are learning Chinese.But,most of them learn Chinese with great passion at the beginning,while the continuity of Chinese learning is decreasing.How to continuously stimulate students’ interest to learn Chinese for better results is an urgent problem to be solved.The theory of Multiple Intelligences(MI)refers to the fact that the human brain is born with at least eight types of intelligence which can be developed and utilized by nurture.So far,it has been widely used in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and it has achieved big results and effects.However,researches on teaching Chinese as a foreign language based on the theory of MI are mostly refers to children,not many studies targeted at the middle school students,and even few studies about Tanzania.This paper takes the current situation of Tanzania Chinese education and their learning characteristics into consideration and find out that it will be reasonable to teach Chinese based on MI.This research takes St.Chritina Girl’s Secondary school students as research subject to analyse their intelligence characteristics: First step is to find out it’s basis and standards,and second step is to analyse their intelligence characteristics based on observation method and cases analysis whose results are advantage intelligence are verbal-linguistic intelligence,visual-spatial intelligence,bodily-kinesthetic intelligence and naturalist intelligence and weak intelligence are interpersonal intelligence,intrapersonal intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence,last step is to give aimed strategies: Make activity plans based on collective advantage intelligence,enrich teaching forms like teaching language,targeted improve weak intelligence.Then,on the premise of making sufficient teaching preparations,specific applied examples about teaching activities and cultural activities are showed,and conclusions are drawn: that was teaching Chinese based on MI indeed improved students’ interest and results.Finally,the feedback information is educed through classroom observation method and interview method,and relevant suggestions are given after the limitations and existing issues of teaching are discussed.Relevant suggestions are: Make sufficient teaching preparations work;advantage and weak advantage are equal;establish an immersive Chinese classroom environment;flexibly adjust the contents and modes of Chinese activities.
